“You’re into what?” Alexa asked, a slight chuckle in her voice as she tossed her hair over her shoulder. Maya bit her bottom lip, blood rushing to her cheeks. She had never told anyone about her fetish. This felt like the day she came out all over again.
“Well,” Maya started timidly, “I like hearts. Like I like how they sound. How they feel. It’s just…comforting. I don’t know, it’s just always fascinated me.” Alexa smiled at her, which made Maya breath a sigh of relief. She wasn’t running, which was a start. But more than that — Maya has been eyeing the pulse in Alexa’s neck. Whether or not Alexa had ever noticed, it was incredibly visible. And the best part? It just picked up speed. 110 BPM, maybe. Alexa scooted a bit closer on the couch.
“So like, you like how your heart feels?” Alexa asked. Maya nodded, a slight smile coming back to her face.
“Yeah. I’m not quite sure why. I just do.”
Suddenly Maya’s brain lit up — Alexa started taking off her t-shirt. Aside from being a cardiophile, there was one thing Alexa never knew about her — that she was Maya’s crush. They had been friends for ten years, but Maya secretly wanted more. And seeing her now, crimson bra covering her small chest, it made that feeling so much stronger.
Maya tried to remain composed, but it was difficult. Alexa was stunning. She could be a model if she wanted to. And the mere thought of the precious muscle pumping in her chest practically set Maya on fire. But then time stopped — Alexa took Maya’s right hand and pressed it against her left breast.
“Do you like how mine feels?” Alexa asked with a smile. Maya closed her eyes slowly, smile peeking through as she bit her bottom lip, her chin falling to her chest. Like? That word didn’t even BEGIN to describe it. She looked back up.
Maya was cut off by the sudden feeling of Alexa placing her hand on her chest. She could feel her heart go into a frenzy. If it was below 140 BPM she’d be surprised. The slight smile on Alexa’s face told the entire story.
“I can see why you like it.”
A combination of relief and excitement flooded Maya’s body. Sitting here, feeling the heart of the girl she secretly loved — it was perfect.
“I think your heart is beating a little slow though,” Alexa said. I think I can help with that.”
Maya didn’t get the chance to finish. Alexa leaned in, kissing her ever so gently on her lips. Alexa was right — her heart was going into a frenzy now. 180, probably. What Maya loved most though, was feeling Alexa’s heart go just as fast. Suddenly they were just sitting there, looking into each other’s eyes ad the hammering in their chests returned to normal. To Maya, this is what heaven felt like.
