Have you ever wondered how Dimension 20’s Intrepid Heroes (+Aabria) would react to being told “I’d die for you”? Because my brain would not allow me to rest until I shared my thoughts on the subject.

emily protecting murph from spells is actually how i imagine their marriage works
if nothing else can this 4 sided dive replace Emily's moniker as 'chaos player' with 'wingman player' because time and time again her answers show that she approaches each game by trying to figure out how best to help the party, the DM, and the story at hand.
So far she has mentioned looking at what role and stats the cast needed as her guideline to figure out what class she was going to play, her number one goal being keeping them alive and furthering Matt's lore hooks, and even being aware of what Prism said while meeting other characters so that the main PCs could choose how they portrayed what happened in the last few episodes.
Between all the shenanigans and great one-liners, the main theme is a player who is incredibly thoughtful and conscientious, ideal wingman at the table for DM and players alike
Shoutout to my therapist she tries so hard to keep up with me. I explained the concept of spell slots vs cantrips as a disability metaphor to her and she took notes. On a pad of paper. About the spellcasting mechanics of dungeons and dragons.
She was like “this is gonna come up again I’m guessing?” And I was like yeah probably and she said “okay hang on” and started writing. Bless
What was the metaphor OP?
I mean it wasn’t mine i got it off tumbler dot org, but there are things that you can do seemingly an unlimited number of times per day, that don’t drain on your internal resources, and that make abled people think you don’t have chronic pain or fatigue or brain fog whatever because look, she’s writing her journal or whatever, surely she must be able to also do her homework, but maybe for you journal-writing is a cantrip, whereas homework takes a spell slot. And you only get a certain number of spell slots per long rest because they drain you in a more profound way, and you need to save one for cooking dinner and you already used one to walk to the store for milk. It’s a variant on Spoon Theory for nerds.
oh wow fuck that’s a good metaphor
Jester having empathy for and attempting to dispel the Charm/Curse on The Inevitable End, even though it put Jester herself in a rough position, reminds me so much of all the things I found refreshing and interesting about Keyleth and the presence of a character like her in a slightly darker fantasy narrative.
Do y’all ever feel like a toddler trying to take care of itself
Like I just spent 30 mins eating random unsatisfying snacks until I finally figured out I was just thirsty
I’m not too late
the thing about being an adult is every time you turn around some shit gotta be “renewed”. tags. licenses. passports. like i’m the same bitch doing the same shit
I refuse to live my life as someone bound by arbitrary social rules. They've hurt me and caused the ones I've loved to suffer. Things must change.

I truly cannot wait to see the Mighty Nein’s next conversation with the Bright Queen.
—
Bright Queen: Why is King Dwendal sending you all to be his emissaries in peace talks?!?
M9: So, you know how we tasked ourselves with returning the other Beacon to you?
Bright Queen: Yes…
M9: So, we didn’t do that. Our friend Yasha *Yasha waves* got mind controlled and kidnapped, so we went and made this cool sword to help get her back, and then we tried to prevent the ritual and another god’s avatar but we couldn’t kill the Laughing Hand but then we realized that we could kill him if we killed his heart but it was in a magic ball where time moves really slowly so we spent a few days in there but it was a few weeks out here, and that’s sort of where we met Allura, who is so awesome by the way, and we scried and were able to see that the Angel of Irons was actually this guy Tharizdun the Crawling King-
Bright Queen: Wha-
M9, continuing: -and they were attacking Rexxentrum and we were sort of nearby so we went to get Yasha back but then as we were leaving we met the king who was like, ‘it seems like your name has weight in the Dynasty, figure out a way to make peace or we will kill you, have the Beacon if you want’, so it turned out alright because now you can get it back, which is what you said to do in the first place!
Bright Queen: What the fuck…
jester when Trent gets anywhere near Caleb
I think one of the reasons Fjord is so wary about Yasha is because it could so easily have been him who betrayed the group for an evil entity and that makes him seriously uncomfortable. I think he sees a piece of himself in her, and he worries that Uk'otoa could potentially have that kind of power over him.
