I was going to do homework but then Anthony said he didn't believe in global warming and I got mad because it is unacceptable for him to not have the same opinions as me. Not really of course I'm just pouting. I dislike when our views are different. It makes talking to him difficult because we both firmly believe in our stances on things.
This is such a sad reality. Rapid sea ice loss is depriving polar bears of their habitat, since they depend on the ice to hunt prey. Ice loss has been particularly noteworthy in recent years in Svalbard, Norway. Ian Stirling works as an ecotourism guide in Svalbard and has seen the sharp decline in summer ice cover, as well as an increase in sightings of skinny bears coming onshore.
The photo, Stirling says, shows a bear that most likely, but not certainly, died as a result of starvation related to sea ice melt. “You can’t say 100% that it starved to death, but that’s probably what happened,” he said. The absence of biological tests to determine if the bear suffered from a disease that could have been fatal is a source of uncertainty in this case.
However, polar bears residing in the U.S. Arctic are listed as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act and the IUCN Red List designates polar bears throughout the Arctic as “vulnerable” because of sea ice loss trends and predictions of a nearly ice-free Arctic Ocean by the middle of this century. Google Maps now shows how climate change will affect sea levels
On Friday afternoon, Google Maps started showing what coastal L.A. would look like after a few feet of rising sea levels. The changes show up in neighborhoods like Malibu and Santa Monica. Google hasn’t made any announcements about whether or not this was intentional, or whether there will be more cities added to the mix. Because it’s not just L.A. that would be affected by rising global temperatures. It’s all of us.

Within days of its launch, the campaign, created by University of Washington sociocultural anthropology Ph.D. candidate Brooke Spotted Eagle, accumulated an inspiring collection of life-affirming messages directed at young Native Americans.
Sadly, this beautiful outpouring of support did not emerge without reason. Its necessity implies a troubling set of challenges Native youth face today.
tips for what to do after a really long cry because you’re probably feeling all kinds of exhausted and drained and i don’t want that for you in the slightest:
take a shower and change all of your clothes even your socks and underwear. this is the first step to everything.
pour yourself a big, cold glass of water and drink it. all of it. once you’re done, get yourself a refill. this will boost u physically and emotionally instantly please trust me.
grab a snack, something light that you don’t have to wait to prepare. i recommend a pudding cup, a piece of fruit, yogurt, a popsicle, or some crackers.
get under the covers. turn on something - tv, a movie, music, anything distracting. or consider calling a friend or talking to anyone nearby, even your sibling the next room over!!
know that you are loved. you are important. you mean more than you know right now, more than you will maybe ever know. you are worth all the stars in the sky. you deserve to feel good.

Elephant Raju Cries After Being Rescued From 50 Years Of Suffering In Chains
This heartbreaking story is about as elephant Raju from India that had an incredibly rough life. After being poached from his mother he was thrown from one owner to another, until he was left living in terrible conditions with no shelter at night, being used as a beggars prop all day long. Raju survived only from passing tourists and sometimes had to eat plastic and paper while being chained 24 hours a day. A wildlife organisation SOS-UK could not stand the injustice and decided to save him in a daring midnight rescue operation.
The elephant, realizing he was being saved, started to cry: “It was incredibly emotional. We knew in our hearts he realised he was being freed” – claims Pooja Binepal, one of the rescuers in an interview with Presspeople. “Tears began to roll down Raju’s face. Some no doubt were due to the pain but he also seemed to sense that change was coming. He felt hope for the first time” – says another rescuer Kartick.
this is just so beautiful. he has found the freedom he deserves.
