Highgate Cemetery is split into an eastern half and a western half, and it’s the western end that’s worth paying for. It’s almost worth dying to get inside, just so you can walk around for free (I’m assuming that you get free entry if you’re dead). They don’t just have piddly little tombstones in here, it’s all Romanesque buildings and monumental set-pieces like the obelisks along the Egyptian Avenue and rock-carved Circle of Lebanon #highgatecemetery #cemetery #london

Opposite, the much-loved Bell Cliff Restaurant & Tea Rooms is a favourite stop for visitors, renowned for its delicious cream teas and Mulberry Manor for its fabulous pasties, sausage rolls and bakes.

I may have mentioned before that I am not an avid follower of Soccer... but this evening I have invited a small number of friends, and neighbours to watch England play Argentina, in the Central Hall of my Kent home.
If my guests are lucky... I will play this rousing English anthem on the Organ!
