My grandparent visited my parents in Alaska before I was born. I scanned the photos a few months ago and there were images no one had ever seen. This is probably late 1970s based on how old my brother is in some of them.

Thailand, 1968 - TIMLAND seems like it might have been Thailand in Miniature. Possibly was a popular stop for the USAF stationed at Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base.
Thailand, 1968 - My grandfather was stationed in Thailand during his time in the US Air Force. He visited a snake or animal park while he was there and took several pictures! It’s so cool to see some of his experiences through the slides I have been scanning.
Thailand, June 1968 - My grandfather was stationed in Guam and Thailand in the 60s and his photos are awesome! I love looking at the scanned slides and unfortunately had taken time to do this in the last 2 years really. There were scanned in 2016 and I never looked at them! I am going to try and do better!
Washington Monument (1955), Washington, D.C.
I’ve have been a little busy the last year and kinda took a break from all photography. Decide to figure out where I am out scanning my families slides and this is the 1st one that caught my eye. My grandmother took her senior class trip to Washington, DC in 1955 and this was a slide from that trip.
Another of the negative from my great grandfather. I like the deer tied to the hood of the car!
Working on scanning some slides this time from my great grandfather. He was a photographer for The Grit in the 30s and 40s (I am guessing on the dates). This is likely in Pennsylvania around the Williamsport area. They moved out to Trout Run I believe in the 30s.
My grandfather in Thailand in 1968. I think this is at a place called Timland outside of Bangkok. From my 2 seconds of internet searching the TIM stands for Thailand In Miniature!
Another picture from the February 1969 Pet Parade! This is not as cool as the skunk but this kid is riding a donkey in the parade wearing a sombrero from Mexico which is pretty kick ass!
February 1969 Pet Parade - Holy Crap this is a girl with SKUNK as her pet for the parade! I think this is when my grandfather was stationed in Shreveport so this is possibly Louisiana or Texas.
This is picture of one of I believe my great-grandfather's glass slides. I don't have a good way to scan them right now I used a light box and snapped a picture with my cell phone (and dslr that I haven't looked at yet). You can see some cracks in the slide and I think that's his finger creeping in on the lower right hand corner. Not sure where this is at, but I would guess around Williamsport, PA as they lived in that area. The box they were in from Eastman Kodak Company is postmarked June '39. Not sure if this is the original box or not!
Another view from the Eiffel Tower in September 1964
I scanned these last week before the terrorist attacks which was odd when it has been months since the last time I scanned slides. Paris seems so peaceful and serene in these photos which is the complete opposite of recent events.

Iwo Jima Memorial, Washington, D,C, in 1955
There are other pictures from the day that have signs saying “Les Gounauds de Bort, Correze”
A lady wearing a costume riding a snail in a parade in France in the 60s! How awesome is this?!
This is my grandmother in the blue dress on what my mom thinks is her senior class trip in Washington, D.C. in 1955!
