MY ID CLUB free child photo ID's
A Community Outreach Program of the King County Police Union, the MY ID Club provides parents with a free photo and fingerprint identification card for their children as a safety measure for youth 16 years of age and under. Established in 1997, MY ID Club has participated in thousands of community events throughout Puget Sound increasing the awareness of the cards and issuing them to interested families.
The fingerprinting and creation of a MY ID Club card is helpful in finding and identifying missing children. The possibility that a child could go missing is a difficult one for parents to consider, yet a recent photograph and fingerprinting can help in the case of such a frightening occurrence according to public officials. The MY ID CLUB identification card should be updated at least once a year or sooner should any information, either personal or medical change. In the case of children with dual parent households we recommend a they have a copy readily available with each parent.
