Renaud: I was raised listening to his songs because he’s my Dad favorite artist. Renaud is known for his polemic songs criticizing the French society. What I love about him is that he attacks every one and every thing about France and French society, but you can see that whatever what he says, he still loves France  - Hexagone - Société tu m’auras pas  - Morts les enfants 

Saez: basically all of his songs are protest songs so here are some of his most known ones:  - Jeune et con - J’accuse  - Jeunesse lève-toi  - Fils de france 

Kery James: he made a lot of polemic songs, some love him and others hate him but whatever you think about his songs, you can’t ignore how powerful they are. I recommend Lettre à la république, a song about racism and the consequences of the colonization. 

Medine: he made a whole series of songs called “Enfant du destin” (Child of the destiny) where in each song he tells the story of a different child who suffers because of conflicts, poverty etc. The series of songs include: - Nour (a girl from Myanmar) - David (a boy from Israel) - But my favorite one is Kounta Kinte, which was inspired by the excellent book “Roots” by Alex Haley

Le déserteur - Boris Vian. I had to include this song: it’s an old one but in my opinion it’s one of the most beautiful French songs

First Japanese class

Hey everyone, yesterday I had my first Japanese class in the exact way I needed... I’m learning Japanese using Portuguese as the base language! I’m delighted to have found free face-to-face Japanese course where I live so that’s wonderful.

We learned the romanization from some basic introduction and VOWELS in Hiragana and Katakana So, vowels have a different order A-I-U-E-O

The sounds are really close and mouth doesn’t open as much as some western languages

A (ah)

I (see)

U (Boot)

E (ee)

O (home *in english this is always a dipthtong /aʊ/ so is not quite the same)

So here it’s the form of the vowels in Hiragana and Katakana (in this order):

A - あ -  ア I - い - イ U - う - ウ E - え - エ O - お - オ

Learn Korean Online!

Hii guys!! I decided to make this tutorial for online Korean learning, this is a method my Korean teacher gave us, is completely free, really easy to use, and fun! Made this specially for @diaduithannah, hope you like it! 1. You must enter the page sejonghakdang.org and create an account. You can set it for it to be in english so it is easier to use.

2. Click on: Create an account

3. Once in there, click on the grey mark points so they turn blue, and click on General Membership Signup, if you want you can use the Social Media one but I was taught this method.

4. Fill in all the information and remember to select that you are a Student

5. Confirm your accont and go back to the home page

6. Once in the home page, click on Learn and Standard Curriculum

7. Go to the bottom of the page for the beginners option, if you are more advanced look for the one that suits you

8.  There will be an option bar, choose Learn.

9. A tab will open up. Click on the korean “start”, this page will give you animations, conversations, audio, explanations, and exercises for you to practice grammar and vocabulary. 

10. This is a little extra, but I would recommend for you to already know how to read Hangul (korean) in case you don’t know and you want to practice deeper the exercises, the page offers textbooks you can print. Click on search and select the option Sejong Korean Workbook in the ebook section. Choose the one that suits you. The one I pointed is for beginners and explains how to read Hangul! However I do recommend watching videos for learning Hangul as well.

Sincerely guys, this webpage is everything. It even gives you cultural lessons, it teaches you cultural traditions in Korea according to what you are seeing in the lessons! Language Pen Pal project

Hi everyone!

My name is Tas, and I’m from Sydney, Australia. Recently, I was thinking to myself “how cool would a Pen Pal Project be, but with language exchange?” So I decided to launch The Bi-lingual Mingle Project! Basically you just put in your target language (or languages) and your language of fluency- to find someone who has allignent language goals. ie. I am currently studying Spanish but fluent in English so my Pen Pal would be studying English and fluent in Spanish! Two verbs a day: Jadi and Bekerja

Jadi = (to) be

Present Tense: Kamu jadi ramah (ramah = nice)

Past Tense: Mereka telah jadi ramah

Future Tense: Saya akan jadi kaya (Kaya = rich)

So as you can see verbs in Indonesian don’t change if the tense changes but it add a word in the front that helps you distinguish in what tense we are talking.. 

Bekerja = to work

Saya Bekerja - I work

Saya sedang bekerja - I’m working

Saya sudah bekerja -  have worked / I have worked / I had worked / I have been working / I had been working

Saya akan bakerja - I will work / I will be working / I will have worked

*Bonus round

Sudah and telah are synonyms?????

A lot of people say yes but not really. Some say that sudah is for shorter time compared with telah that is for millions of years but is not really a rule.
