We as Christian think that when we accept Christ, transformation happens overnight. But many a times, we stumble, fall, make mistakes and mess up and the enemy is right there to torment us with guilt saying, “Are you even a Christian? How could you do that?” You must realize when we are yielded to Christ, and we desire change, He slowly and painstakingly works in us, shaping us, scraping off all the rough edges in the furnace of affliction, pain and suffering. We are being transformed from glory to glory into His image..2 Cor 3:18 And one day we will be like Him. Hallelujah!

Psalm 34:18 ‘The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’ I have seen, many times, the Lord’s love sustaining those going through great difficulties, in remarkable ways: ‘The righteous may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers them from them all’ (Psalm 34:19). I would rather it said that the righteous ‘won’t’ have many troubles, but it does say ‘may’ have many troubles. I think if we didn’t go through the difficult times then we wouldn’t know that God is a deliverer and that we can trust him in those times. Look back at what God has already brought you through and delivered you from. Don’t look at how far you have to go. Look at how far you’ve come. So smile today knowing the God who has been faithful in the past will prove to be faithful yet again.

Are you facing a situation that seems like it has no logical solution? Sometimes we have to turn our minds off, stop trying to figure it all out, and stop overanalyzing and researching everything. When you don’t see the answer in the natural realm, it’s time to stop leaning on your own understanding and choose to trust God.

Sometimes our minds can be a distraction to our “inner sensor.” Our minds can allow fear and dread to distract us from what God is speaking to our hearts. That’s why the Scripture says that we aren’t to lean on our own understanding. We have to take time to shut off the distractions, shut off fear, and listen to what’s going on inside of us where God speaks. That’s where faith rises up. That’s where all of the sudden you’ll feel a spark of hope even when things look impossible.

Today, no matter what it looks like in the natural, choose to lean on Him. Trust that He has favor in store for your future. Trust that something good is about to happen. As you lean on Him with your mind, soul and strength, you’ll see His goodness and break through to new levels in every area of your life!

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, today I choose to lean on You. I choose to trust that You are working on my behalf. I won’t put my confidence in what I see, but I will trust in Your Word which remains true forever. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
