Rose and Dimitri under lust spell. Oh, forbidden love! In my imagination every pyjamas are checkered.
Well damn…
Vampire Academy
The most underrated series ever.. I blame Twilight for making me overlook this. That book turned me from vampires for a while.
Now, about VA, I’m fresh out of Last Sacrifice and the past two weeks had been the series marathon. So, here goes…
The movie doesn’t do it any justice.
The books deal with teenagers, their problems.
Friendship
Teen romance
That crush on your teacher
His response (feels pedophilic in the movies, but the book deals with it better)
More Friendships
The lengths one will go for a friend
Learning responsibility, taking action, learning to get help from those around you when you are in trouble.
Mental health problems, self harm, anger management, etc
And a lot of friendship
Mommy issues
Daddy issues (hilariously dealt with)
Romantic plot doesn’t consist of vague crush and descriptions of gazing into his/her eyes - here, it’s an equal relationship.
They have a balanced relationship where they complement each other, support each other, be each others’ strength. Its something even adult romance stories don’t get. This perfect balance basically negates the age gap and almost pedophilic nature of the romance.
Amazingly written teenagers who have their priorities straight and not just consisting of homework, dances and parties..😂😂😂
So many authors fail to write sensible teenagers.
Basically I loved this series..
Thank you @fierarain @ruminationsofaraven and all others who have been patient with me while I read these books and ranted about it here.. You all are amazing.
Ps. More detailed reaction to be followed..
Rose: Who the fuck-
Dimitri: Language, Rose.
Rose: Whom the fuck-
Dimitri: No.
Technically, he wasn’t an ex-boyfriend, but he was an ex-something. An ex-maybe. An ex-almost.

I hope to be continuing to work in my current profession. I am a very lucky person because I have a job that I love doing every day.

CALLING ALL VA FANS
Hey Guys! I'm doing a project in my acting for the camera class at school and so I was wondering if anyone happened to have a pdf of the Vampire Academy movie script anywhere. PLEASE let me know! much love always, A
I wish that I was older, old enough to be yours. And I wish that we were strangers, strange enough to go unnoticed from this crowd. Let’s not pretend like it’s not what it is when I’m just starting to realize that I love you.
not gonna lie, this is forever my favorite romitri post
“We studied our angels for a few moments more, looking at where we had lain side by side in that sweet, quiet moment. I wished what I’d said was true, that we had truly left our mark on the mountain. But I knew that after the next snowfall, our angels would disappear into the whiteness and be nothing more than a memory.”
Lissa and I had been friends ever since kindergarten, when our teacher had paired us up together for writing lessons. Forcing five-year-olds to spell Vasilisa Dragomir and Rosemarie Hathaway was beyond cruel, and we’d—or rather, I’d—responded appropriately. I’d chucked my book at out teacher and called her a fascist bastard. I hadn’t known what those words meant, but I’d known how to hit a moving target.
Lissa and I had been inseparable ever since.
you all owe me ur life.

The New Normal
(Submission for VA Mother’s Day Compilation)
“So, Rose, I wanted to talk to you.”
The bread suddenly seemed too dry in her mouth.
“It’s been almost five years, dear.”
The room became quiet except for the sizzle of the chicken in the pan. She wasn’t sure if either of them were breathing. Rose couldn’t even think, much less breath at this point.
“Just over four and a half,” she corrected.
“That’s what I mean. Don’t you think it’s time to…”
“What?” she interrupted a bit too sharply. “To forget him?”
“No. No, of course not. None of us will, but,” She sighed and placed her hands on either side of the sink, not looking at Rose. “I want you to be happy and you still seem to be mourning him. He’s gone, dear. He’s not coming back. You don’t have to be gone alongside him.”
Rose bit her lip to keep it from trembling. She had this type of conversation once before with Olena – nearly a year ago and it hadn’t ended well. Olena didn’t shout but Rose did, and Rose had let loose until she had left the house in a storm of anger and didn’t come back for a day and a half. Olena hadn’t brought it up again.
Until now, apparently.
