Happy World Kindness Day! đâ€ïž
Please stop what you are doing for 13 seconds and watch this:
Read about each victim of the Orlando Pulse shooting here. Remember their names, their faces, and their stories.
I know this is incredibly difficult to look at. It makes what happened so real by putting faces to the pain but it is so important! These were humans who had lives, who had friends and families, hopes and dreams, trials and tribulations. They were beautiful and they were strong. Their lives were taken because of who they love from a person filled to the brim with hate. They deserve to be remembered.
I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it

âYou canât love someone unless you love yourself firstâ Bullshit. I have never loved myself. But you Oh god, I loved you so much I forgot what hating myself felt like.
My thoughts before I go to sleep. (via constant-nxthing)
You have to learn to get up from the table when love is no longer being served.

I saw you and I knew. I knew that was it. That I would never want anyone else Care about anyone else See anyone else. Everything became such a sudden, irrelevant blur and what remained was you. My single bit of beautiful, brilliant clarity.

hello!
Powerful & creative imagery
the food and education made me sad.
I have always been fascinated by these âworld of 100 peopleâ things, I remember spending hours thinking through the ones on a poster at church when I was 9 or so. It really, really makes some really important stuff so blindingly clear, in numbers we can understand. And it should, I hope it does, inspire us to act.Â
Amazing post.
The reason these work so well is because the human brain is actually incapable of comprehending the actual amount in people in the world. Our mind unassisted can only understand numbers up to a certain amount. Even 83% of 7 billion is difficult to grasp because we know thatâs a Fuck ton, but on the flip side 17% of 7 billion is a Shit load. So our brain realy canât comprehend the gravity of what exactly is the difference one fuck ton and one shit load. But when you take away the percent, remove this gigantic 7 billion number, and bring it down to 100, all of a sudden out brains go âoh! I know what 100 is! I can understand this!â And things are a lot clearer.
