For the first time, the CCP presents Winds and Jazz; an international music festival that combines the vibrant sounds and harmonies of the symphonic band and the sophisticated rhythms of jazz in a musical treat that is sure to appeal to various listeners and music enthusiasts.
The festival highlights various symphonic bands from around the country and abroad. It also features various styles of the jazz genre, including Asian ethnic fusion, as performed by local and international jazz figures and groups.
Aside from main evening concerts, pocket concerts and sunset concerts (in Harbor Square), what makes this festival more inviting and enjoyable to various audiences are collaborative components that include music workshops and masterclasses, trade shows and Band clinics and exchange. It also features instrument repair sessions.
