'That' friend.
one day, i asked one of my friends
"why don't you hang out with your circle anymore?"
and honestly i expected something
like "oh, i just want to be alone for a while"
or "i'm busy lately, with works and whatnot"
or a "nah, i'd rather stay at home and sleep"
but she answered me with something
that surprised me completely:
"when in a group of friends, do you notice the one that has to walk behind when the road isn't big enough?
the one that speaks less and gets cut off in the middle of a conversation?
the one that asks the rest of the group to hang out to make sure he or she gets included?
the one that tries to joke so hard just to make their friends laugh?
the one that plans a surprise party for the rest of the group while the group forgets their birthday?
the one that feels it doesn't matter if they come or not because it won't affect anyone?
that's me.
and even though i saw it coming from long way before,
it still hurts.
people says breaking up with your lover is hard, but what they forget is the fact that it's even harder to break up with your friends."
— m.k.,
