Taken by surprise from Brielle's assertiveness Ed gave into the kiss. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her once more, smiling against her lips. Pulling back he pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and chuckled. "Well... I think we can come up with something much better then checkers." He smiled shyly at her, looking into her eyes. He could become lost in them. Zoning out of reality he held her close, forgetting about all the drama going on lately, forgetting about the surroundings. The only thing that was on his mind was Brielle. Lately he had been feeling guilty about the whole thing, Niall was one of his best mate's but the feeling Brielle gave him was indescribable. Though being here, alone with her now he knew what he had to do, and that was make her his. He needed her to fill the void in his heart. Kissing her soft lips once more he laid back on the blanket, bringing her down with him.

Listening to Brielle as she spoke Ed couldn't help but to give her a squeeze, if only to let her know that he would always be there for her. "I don't think you can make a difference Bri, I know you can." He kissed her forehead, happy that she had made the change in her self. Every day, every night, Ed would watch as Brielle mopped around their apartment, getting ready for work. Leaving late at night, coming home early in the morning. It was like watching that spark in her eyes die out. Just a few mornings Ed had said goodbye to Brielle Presley, he knew he would never see her again, and he was right. He knew that deep down inside she was still their, but Brielle Chandler took over. She was a new person, a new Brielle, a stronger Brielle. "Those young girls are lucky to have you. If you would have had someone so amazing, like yourself, to look up to you wouldn't have gone through nearly as much as you have.

When the subject changed Ed could feel his cheeks go red. He scratched at a nonexistent itch on his head and let out a nervous laugh once more.  "Well, unfortunately I seemed to have left the checkers at home.." He joked awkwardly, but soon enough looked up at Brielle.

Nodding he grinned. "Yes braver. What you did is way braver then jumping ship. You jumped ship, turned your life around and made an impact on your world. You're gonna make a difference in the world." He spoke genuinely and sincerely as he held onto her tight, afraid he might lose her if he ever let go. "So..." He cleared his throat, suddenly becoming nervous in her present. "What do you suppose two people are to do when they are alone in a cave?" He became fixated with an imaginary spot on the floor, not moving his eyes away from it, not making eye contact with the beautiful Brielle.

Laughing he shook his head. "Keep it up and I will tip it." He joked and followed her off the sand. Grabbing the lantern he turned it on and took her hand, giving a nod. "Well I suppose we can't pretend to be pirates then?" He laughed and walked in first, just incase there was something that could harm her. "I wonder what its for, I mean do caves just appear out of no where?" He asked, totally oblivious to nature. Turning around he smiled at her. "It's quite cozy actually. Hold tight." He ran back to the canoe and grabbed  a blanket he had brought. Walking back in he held it up. "A nice little hideaway." He put the blanket down towards the end of the cave and placed the lantern right next to it. "It's like our little secret." He looked back to her, eyes wide. "No one will ever find us."

"Well surely we can't be Jack and Rose without a boat." He spoke simply, answering her questions. Once they were settled into the canoe he smiled and began to row. "That's okay, because if you happened to fall off, I would save you. That's my job." He grinned and   enjoyed the view as the small boat began to make its way around the lake. "Are you surprised?" He asked, hoping she was. Ed was never good at keeping surprises a secret. As he steered the canoe around he remembered to keep mental notes of things they past, so they wouldn't get lost on the ride home. To be honest he had no idea where he was going, but they could figure that out together.

Packing his guitar in his case Ed made his way to the living room where Brielle had been sitting. "Come on Rose, we're going out." He gave her a wicked smile and took her hand. He had planned a nice romantic night for them. Sure he couldn't give her the experience Jack gave to rose, but he had a lake and a canoe, so that would have to do. "Close your eyes." He smiled and lead her down the path to the lake, making sure her eyes remained shut the whole time. "Almost there, keep them closed." He placed his guitar down quietly in the small boat and grabbed a lantern he had left near by this afternoon. Flicking it on he smiled. "Okay open." He held out his hand to help her on. "After you my lady." He smiled and finally got in himself. "Where to miss?"
