This is a poster I designed and painted for the EVE Online player group, Signal Cartel (EVE-Scout) as a visual identity piece for the rescue division.

A magnificent poster incorporating so many wonderful visual elements of Signal Cartel life and our EvE-Scout Rescue division. I especially love the digitized depiction of our AI co-pilot ALLISON and the constellation formed from our alliance logo.

Seen While Wandering

I’ve been noodling around in Paragon Soul and ended up in G1D0-G, a dead end off of GQ2S-8. Lots of pretty bubbles, but fortunately there was no one around to try and catch my nimble little Astero In Which the Hugs. So I cruised to a safe and began probing down the three sigs in the system, hoping for a wormhole. No dice, so time to plot a course up the pipe and see what else I can find.

Exploration: Zoohen, Planet VII

In “Planet Mode” you can zoom in and see tons more details than are visible in regular “flying in space” mode. I loved the storms rolling across this world. The player-owned Customs Office is a reminder that capsuleers are harvesting this planet’s resources.

are you still playing eve?

I returned in April 2014 after a couple years’ break. Started back at pirating and then RvB and slowly became bored by PVP. Discovered Thera and been happily running a peaceful exploration corp called Signal Cartel for about a year.

Expeditions: Katia Sae Heads Into W-Space

Esteemed Signal Cartel member Katia Sae is heading out for a long expedition that has the goal of visiting every wormhole system in New Eden. She started her journey in our beloved Thera, where we gave her a proper Hugs(tm) send-off.

Thera -- The Sanctuary Institute of Paleocybernetics

Took a moment to enjoy the view at Signal Cartel’s Thera HQ while dropping off loot and stocking up for another sojourn into null sec. I’m enjoying flying my explo Loki “Okie Dokie” currently!

Solo Hugs

Sarag0ssa was in need of some hugs, so I set off to find her deep in null sec to deliver them. By chance, we ran into each other a few systems before my actual destination. She accepted my “Hugs at Planet 1!” invite and we were soon joined by her corpmate Bandidas. 250 snowballs later, we said our goodbyes with smiles all around and went our separate ways.

This is the Hive in a Barbican site, discovered in a wormhole.

“Bloody Omir”

This portrait is how I imagine the character Omir Sarikusa, current leader of the Blood Raider Covenant and one of CONCORD’s top ten most wanted criminals.

 In EVE lore, Sarikusa was a high priest of the Sani Sabik faith which practices ritual bloodletting as the basis of their religion and culture. Followers of this sect of the Amarrian faith perform their rituals in the nude (sometimes covered in simple robes) and wear golden, blood filled vials around their necks as a symbol of their devotion to the Red God.  

When Omir seized control of the Blood Raiders, he expanded their practice of killing children to the killing of clones, believing their blood to be of a higher purity. Thus earning him the nickname, Bloody Omir. To this day, he commands a fiercely loyal following with millions swearing fealty to him.

The Mysterious Drifters

I discovered Apollo and Artemis Tyrannis outside the DED Logistic Support station in Gelhan one day (Signal Cartel has an office there). Uncloaked, I kept a distance of 100 meters or orbited at 1000 meters. They scanned me a few times but did not demonstrate any hostile tendencies. I was able to spend some time getting close up views of their ships, which exhibit some odd visual distortions...a wavering field effect, an almost camouflage-like color change effect, and a “normal” dark looking color. And then they left...to where, who knows.

New Eden Landmarks

The EVE Gate in the New Eden system is where it all began! Here you can see the New Eden star and the larger EVE Gate below it, and a nebulae on the right. A wormhole opened up in Thera that was only 6 jumps from the New Eden system so I had to go! Did you know that EvE-Scout can calculate how many jumps it is from where you are to all of the holes leading into Thera? Yup, it can!

Places I’ve been in New Eden...not counting wormholes. Since the advent of Thera, my roams are more far-flung than ever.
