a hex to have a target feel the trauma that they have inflicted upon another

items:

compact mirror - go grab a cheap one from the dollar store [the kind that's just two mirrors, or a compact with a side that's blank; don't waste makeup for a hex lol]

taglock

tealight candle

black thread or string

small box

optional: anointing oil

optional: pen and paper

instructions:

if you have it, anoint only one side of the inside of the compact [the blank side if that's what you have]

write the target's name on paper; use a photo; draw a picture of them; etc.

set ⇡⇡⇡ inside the compact [the side that has the oil, if you used any] facing the mirror and close it

set the candle on top of the closed compact; light the candle

write your petition, focusing on your intent, and carefully burn it using flames from the candle [just an idea, this is what i do: use the candle to set the thing on fire, and then set it inside a mini cauldron or other fire-safe bowl]

snuff out the candle and dispose of it in the trash when cooled

wrap the mirror in the thread/string - tie it off

set the closed compact in the box; store in a dark place to allow the spell to manifest

as always, be safe and don't burn your house down!

Ingredients according to you or the situation calls for

Write that asshole's full name and birthday on a piece of paper using red ink (or your blood, if you want).

Firmly attach the paper to the poppet or taglock using the needle.

Put into the jar, then add things that will make the asshole uncomfortable, such as: thorns, nails, pins, needles, sand, jagged rocks, glass shards, per your wish and purpose and what they deserve.

Close the lid tight. Seal it if it suits you. Put the jar into a dark place where no light, natural or artificial, will reach. Leave it there for as long as satisfies your heart.

The Importance of Iron in Witchcraft

So, I got a lot of really positive feedback about my post about salt in witchcraft, so here’s another one just for you about iron!

Iron, like salt, has been used for many thousands of years as a potent tool in the practices of witchcraft. Iron is one of the most abundant metals in our planet, and is also a really great metal for making into tools. It’s tough, hard, ductile and with a high melting point that makes it ideal for situations in which you might need a tool to work under extremely hot conditions. It’s also one of only three ferromagnetic metals (along with nickel and cobalt), making it an essential part of most magnets and compasses.

In astrophysics, iron is extremely important in the life cycle of stars. Iron is one of the most atomically stable substances in the universe, and it’s also unique because it’s the first element in the periodic table to require more energy to MAKE it than it gives out from atomic fusion. This is important, because when a star gets older and fuses hydrogen to make helium, helium to make beryllium and all the rest, once it starts fusing atoms to make iron, the star begins to die. So, iron is an element that signals the death of stars, and any element that weighs MORE than iron (atomically speaking) can only be made in supernovas - that is, the explosion that takes place when a really BIG star dies.

In biology, iron is one of the most important elements in mammalian, reptilian and avian blood, because it’s the element that we use in the chemical haemoglobin. This is the chemical in our blood cells that binds to oxygen and keeps us alive. Crustaceans like lobsters don’t use iron - they use copper, and instead make haemocyanin, which makes their blood blue! However, just like in stars, iron can mean death for humans as well. If we overdose on iron, we suffer from iron heavy metal poisoning; when we get crushed by a heavy object we can suffer a disease called traumatic rhabdomyolysis or Crush Syndrome, caused by vast amounts of myoglobin (another iron-based compound, found in muscles, which gives them extra oxygen to use) entering our kidneys and killing them, and as a result killing us.

Iron in science is an element of life, death, and of many points in between. But what about its uses in witchcraft?

Witchy Facts about Iron!

Iron is stable. Iron’s stability, both atomically and magickally, makes it a fantastic magickal conductor, and also means that magick doesn’t seem to affect iron very much. Enchantments on iron are never as strong as on other metals, and even the best witches will have difficulty making an enchantment or other spell anchor properly. However, this has the advantage that iron doesn’t pick up negative magick from background sources, and it’s extremely unlikely that there will be issues with ritual or altar tools made from iron. Keeping your magickal supplies inside an iron or steel box, or a box that’s been nailed together with iron nails, will prevent them from leaking out and attracting spirits that might cause harm.

Iron is protective. Along with silver and a few other little bits and bobs, negative spirits and fae folk cannot touch iron lest it burn them and cause them pain. Additionally, negative magicks targetted at someone wearing an iron pendant will be attracted into the pendant and then dispelled. This makes it an ideal protective charm for everyday carry or everyday wear. This is why horseshoes are considered lucky - back in Medieval times, when protection against negative spirits and magick was much more widely practiced, poor families would often be unable to afford much iron. However, a horseshoe is made of iron, and comes with holes already cast into it, which allow you to nail one over your door easily, which keeps out harmful spirits, magick, and fae, who might seek to hurt you or your family.

Iron is inconspicuous. Anyone can carry an iron nail after all, and a little piece of iron wrought and twisted into a small pendant is far from a traditional witch’s item. Those secret witches who perhaps do not live with accepting families or within an accepting community or country can find great solace in the use of iron as a protective charm.

Iron is cheap. Iron nails, iron rods and iron knifes are pretty easy to get hold of and relatively quite cheap. They’re versatile and not especially likely to draw attention to you - after all, nobody’s likely to question why someone has a couple of iron nails twisted into a pendant, and if they do question it, why it’s just an artistic display! And of course, easy to replace with $5 worth of string, iron and a hammer.

Iron is ancient. Iron is one of the oldest protective charms out there, right up with salt and sage. It’s been used for literally thousands of years to protect people against everything from wolves to armies to poltergeists. That’s a pretty impressive history!

Iron is practical! The best cookware I’ve ever used has always been my cast iron cookware set, which makes better food than I’ve ever tasted, and it’s very easy to clean. It’s also extremely hardwearing - I wholly expect to one day be able to pass on my cast iron frying pan and wok to my grandchildren, and it was already been owned by my mother and father before me. Iron knifes are sharper and cut cleaner than almost anything except obsidian, and high-carbon steel (an alloy of iron and carbon) is the best cutting edge known in bushcrafting circles, where all the best knives are made from it

Keep the Passion Going Love Spell

Intent: to set a love/relationship back into motion when the energies feel dull; to bring passion back or to Strengthen a relationship that already stands

Items:

A Candle(red,pink or white)

Fire Safe Bowl(metal preferably, keep it on a fireproof surface)

Taglocks for you and Your Partner(names work here)

“Love Comes My Way” Sigil

Satchet(red, pink, or white) or a Ziplock Bag

Roses

Cinnamon

Nutmeg

Sugar

Orange Peels

Mint

Instructions:

1. Carve the Sigil into the Candle you are using(a needle or a knife can be used to do this, if you don’t have either a pencil or pen may be helpful). You can do it on all sides of the candle or on one, whatever feels right for you, and if you are using a pillar candle.

2. Place the Candle in the middle of the Fireproof Bowl

3. Place each ingredient around the candle, one at a time, evenly.

4.Light the Candle

5. Take your taglocks and safely and carefully burn the first end of the taglocks, replace the taglocks with the candle in the middle of the fire safe bowl and let it burn out, keeping the candle lit close by. As this is happening whisper: “Keep the passion in our love going in a healthy loving way”

6. Wait until the taglocks are turned to ashes and wait until they’re cooled(if the herbs get burned wait until everything cools down) and move them into the satchet or the ziplock bag(you can add the sigil onto the bags if you want, that’s optional). Place nearby your bed somewhere out of sight.

Anti-Depression Self Love Candle Recipe🌱🌷💓✨🍃🌙💐

ok luvlies here is my Anti-Depression Self Love Candle recipe for all my fellow mentally ill witches on my blog💗

Things you need (all precharged and cleansed where needed)

a white or pink (love) candlestick

blue dripping wax (health and healing)

black dripping wax (protection)

dried eucalyptus leaves (healing)

dried rose petals (self love)

4 cloves (healing and naturally painkilling)

salt (protection and purifying)

coffee grounds (magic amplifying)

rose eo (self love)

eucalyptus eo (healing)

left over herbs and two sprigs of fresh eucalyptus

a small basin to hold the candle

(i know this seems like a lot of ingredients but u can tailor this to what you have and need)

Steps

throw the dried eucalyptus leaves, rose petals, cloves, salt, and coffee in a motar and powder them as fine as you can with a pestle. focus on the intention behind each ingredient as you do this, what will these herbs help you with? (i guess you can also food process these? but since i don’t have a food processor i did this by hand and this step took me a little while lol)

leave your powdered herb mix to the side, if you want to draw sigils on your candlestick, now is the time to do so. i used my ‘i am loving’ sigil on mine.

now annoint your precleansed candle with the eucalyptus and rose essential oils. i used 2 drops of eucalyptus and 4 of rose because the eucalyptus is such a strong scent i didn’t want the rose to be overpowered. you want the candle super oily so your herbs will stick to it’s sides.

over some parchment or newspaper, begin pressing your powders onto your anointed candle. if some falls off that’s ok, you can sprinkle it over the candle when the candles almost finished and your not handling it so much.

melt the wax on the base of your candle using a lighter or match and, working quickly, press the candle to your basin to secure it. doing this now instead of as the last step makes it so much easier to drip the wax over your candles without rubbing off the herbs.

now it’s time to drip the wax over your candle, just do this until you feel satisfied that you can see the colour and it looks cute.

after you’ve finished step 6 the candle itself is finished! just fill the basin with leftover herbs and herb powder. i threw some salt and rose buds on top of mine too.

stick the eucalyptus sprigs in the herb bath and you’re completely done!

to finish i just lit mine and left it near my windowsill to charge under the sunlight with two rose quartz and a tree agate.

plants grow effortlessly around your house - even if you live in an urban area or don’t actively garden, you’ll find that everything just grows quickly.

birds, bees, wasps, etc. build nests around your house - even though there are a thousand other natural places for them to live.

your pets get random bursts of energy/excitement despite any visible stimulation - in celtic folklore this is considered a sign that the fae are playing around with your pets!

you hear bells, tapping, or singing at night or early morning - will sound like it’s distant but close at the same time, as if drifting from another realm.

✨ how to manifest ✨

hi babes, I’m back! wanted to make a quick post on my manifestation routine and some of the essential steps necessary for the law of attraction to be effective. for those of you who don’t know what the fuck I’m talking about, the loa states that our thoughts, beliefs, and intentions create our reality. there are various methods, of course, but this routine has worked beautifully for me! I’ve manifested an entire business, a dream job, $2k in 24hours, my soul family, & so much more! let’s jump into this shit!

1. get in a high vibrational state of being! what does this mean? it means focus on eliciting positive emotions and feelings at the start of this process. when we raise our vibration, shift our mood, we’re more in alignment with what we desire. in a high vibrational state, you’ll feel bubbly, happy, and excited! do anything that you can to achieve a higher vibration! listen to music, watch some R.IP vine compilations on youtube, dance around your room, etc. do whatever the fuck you gotta do. struggling with depression or anxiety? it’s okay! this state only has to be maintained for a couple of minutes for it to be effective.

2. set your intention! what are you trying to bring into your life? to set your intention, all you have to do is write it or speak it out loud. pro tip: instead of saying ‘I want to manifest xyz’, say ‘I am ready to receive xyz’. the word ‘want’ creates more lack and will keep you in a state of ‘wanting’. another ex: “I am manifesting my perfect partner” vs. “I am going to manifest my perfect partner.

3. visualize your desire manifesting. this is the fun part! vividly imagine and feel what it would be like to hold the desired amount of cash in your hand. what emotions would you feel if you were given what you asked for? being able to truly envision having your desire is going to make it a reality in your mind and put you in alignment to receive it in the physical.

4. detach from the outcome. definitely the part that everyone fucking hates. it’s important to let go of any attachment and trust that the universe will deliver what it is that you’ve asked for. surrender and allow it to unfold. don’t stress about when, where, or how it will manifest. just trust that it will happen. this is the one area where most people get stuck!

5. act as if you already have what you desire. this is also a pretty fun part! how would you feel if you had everything that you wanted? probably pretty fucking fantastic. acting as if sends a message to the universe that you are ready.

6. & finally, take action! sometimes the universe will just drop blessings right in front of us, yes, but not always. you’re probably not going to find the love of your life if you spend all day in your house. you’re not going to become a famous actress if you don’t get up and audition! the universe can do so much for us but we also need to work with it. don’t just wait around for something to happen. search and be open to receiving the opportunities that you ask for.

Here goes another 10 witch tips. Dont forget to check out the #10tips tag on my blog to see rhe past 100 tips!

1. Paint protection symbols on walls, then paint over them.

If you’re painting the walls in your house by yourself, this is a great way to place sigils or symbols! Simply paint them on, then paint over them in the same color to hide them. Alternatively, you could draw them on with a pencil and then paint over them that way.

2. Watch out for these bad omens

A crow hitting your window

Bread split down the center when baking

Dreaming of walking through muddy water

Or seeing multiple moons

Early blooming of a peach tree

Hearing a whistle outside at night

Broken or cracked picture frames.

3. Draw a hand in your grimoire and label what the different lines mean

This is a tip to help you learn palm reading. Although I’m sure everyone wishes they could have one of those super cool hand statues that have the different lines painted on them, some of us aren’t that lucky. It’s just as good to draw out a hand in your grimoire and label it yourself. This may help you memorize it better.

4. Always check the area out before casting circles in the forest.

I learned this one the hard way. My fellow witch and I were wandering around in the forest late one evening. We’re travelers, so it was our first time in that area of a new town we ventured into. We had been hiking for only a short while before we came to this beautiful clearing. It was surrounded by trees and a few had fallen so it made a great place to set up (we had gone into the woods with the intention of performing a ritual, so all of our supplies were in my backpack) We were right in the middle of a spell when we saw a flashlight pointing our way. Long story short, we hadn’t realized that we were just downhill from a sidewalk that wrapped itself around a nearby playground. The light was a cop who had gotten a tip about two people “burning mysterious substances” AKA sage and incense. I had to explain to a cop that we were witches right in the middle of a ritual. It was awkward, we were awkward, please check out the area if you’re going to perform witchcraft in a forest. Not to mention, you should also do this in case theres any wildlife nearby that may not want the company.

5. You don’t have to call yourself a witch if it makes you uncomfortable.

I use witch as a gender-neutral term. So do many, many other people. My boyfriend is a cismale and he uses the term witch. I’m a cisfemale and I use the term witch. I have another cismale friend who prefers the term “Warlock” although many people refuse to because of the negative connotations surrounding it. I know some people who just call themselves “Magick Beings” because they’re genderqueer. It’s up to you. Please don’t ever feel excluded because I use the word “witch” and not something else. It’s gender neutral, anyone and everyone can be a witch if they so desire.

6. Save your sage ashes

Sage ashes can have many great uses. You could fill a sachet with them for protection, you could sprinkle them around your home, put them in a tiny jar & make it into a necklace, sprinkle them on your doorstep or in your shoes, or about a billion other things. Everything has a use!

7. Bless the objects you carry with you

Bless your phone, bless your wallet, bless your keys, bless your jewelry. Basically, anything you carry with you on an everyday basis should be blessed. It’s not necessary but it’s definitely for the better good! If you’re going to carry something anyways, why not make it more magickal useful for you than it already is?

8. Keep track of your dreams and write down recurring themes and their meanings.

You can do this in a dream journal or in your grimoire. I also recommend getting a book of dream interpretation to aid in this. This can be an easy way to see what your dreams are trying to tell you and to keep track of them. Try doing what your dreams seem to suggest for you and see if the patterns change!

9. If you do curses regularly, get a second cauldron for that.

Like I’ve said many times before, I personally don’t believe any good comes from cursing. That being said, I do believe in every witches right to do what they so desire. Even if that includes things I wouldn’t do. So if you curse, I need you to be as safe as possible. Along with all of the other necessary precautions, it’s a great idea to use a second cauldron for making cursed mixtures or potions. You still need to clean this cauldron drastically after every use, but this is an extra step to take to prevent yourself from getting hurt.

10. Don’t date people who condemn witchcraft

For some people, this may be obvious, but others may need to hear it. You can’t help who your family is, and your acquaintances aren’t always significant enough for their opinions on your craft to matter. But when it comes to partners, please do what’s best for you. Don’t waste your time on people who can’t/won’t accept you for who you are. If you’ve educated your partner on the subject and they still refuse to respect your witchcraft, let them go. They’re not worth your time. This goes for any part of you that matters to you, really. If someone doesn’t like you for you, then they have no business dating you.
