• He used to play a lot of basketball during high school. Now, he didn't exactly play on the school team and rather enjoyed the sport as something he'd do when he had the time. He wasn't the best player there was but his aim was always accurate, sending the ball straight through the net for a large portion of the time. Sometimes he'd be caught dribbling a ball as he walked home or he'd arrive home late and all sweaty, having decided to play for an hour or two at a court he often passes on his way home. Basketball is also how he made some friends and how some kids around the area recognizes him. He turned to it as a way to vent out his frustrations from the school day since he got to use up all his energy and put his emotions into running and jumping. With how frequent he started to play, sometimes he'd dribble an imaginary ball between his legs and do a three-pointer on the air. The police academy didn't exactly give him time to himself so gradually he stopped frequenting the court and the routine eventually died down.
• He's a victim to losing money by vending machine. His hungry ass always wants that vanilla cupcake loaded with rainbow sprinkles so he hauls his ass to the vending machine and mumbles a prayer that nobody got to the pastry before he did. Luckily for him, there's almost always 3 more cupcakes left so he gets one for himself. Unfortunately for him, he never gets his change back. He tells the cafeteria staff about it but nothing ever gets done about it and now his hungry ass is paying the price-- with no change in return. He also loses money through kid scouts selling cookies and bake sales.
• He has a pricey collection of high-quality shoe cleaners and balms to keep his sneakers as clean as possible (I mean, look at his shoes in RE2). He doesn't like having his shoes too scuffed up and dirtied so he cleans them on weekends, especially after a week full of rain and damp grounds. He rarely ever got fresh shoes, usually getting thrifted sneakers, so he did his best to keep them in its best conditions to prolong the wearability. He does have a designated shoe that he wears when he's about to do some work that'll definitely get messy and it's a pair of Reebok Club C 85s. Also, he definitely keeps sneaker magazines and dog-ears the pages with the shoes that he likes.
• He was convinced by his friends and the gym teacher to join the school's wrestling team. He was already pretty strong and in good physical shape since he wanted to be fit as early as possible for the academy so all he had to do was train a little more for wrestling and he'd be good to go. After three (successful) matches, he'd come to notice that he was growing biceps and his shoulders were looking pretty toned so obviously, he was proud of his work. The first time he stepped out in his headgear and a singlet that stuck to his body like second skin, a number of girls grew interested in him and formed crushes. Leon would often wear his shirts a size larger than his actual size so to see his muscles out in the open like that was definitely quite the sight to see. His friends would tell and tease him all about it and he'd get shy since he didn't expect to gain attention like that but he would be lying if he said it didn't feel nice.
• He tried cutting his hair once with blunt craft scissors in his bathroom at 2AM. For some reason, he decided to start with the back of his head and trim the hair there before the front so he "could still shape it in case he messes up". Messed up he did but he could not shape it. He looked like those Barbie dolls that got haircuts from little girls and his hair was misshapen and sticking out in odd places. Gel and styling couldn't save his poor strands so he made the decision to do buzz it off. He ended up crying and cursing himself as he sadly cleaned up his sink and threw the hair away and he vowed to himself that he'd never mess with his hair ever again.
• He got "Employee of the Month" awards thrice when he worked at a grocery store and his older coworkers definitely treat him like he's their own. Sometimes, he'd be handed a spare bill and be told to study hard so he could get a job that paid better than stocking shelves and putting away shopping carts. They treated him like family so he saw them that way as hell so he did his best to study hard and get good marks. If any customer was rude or standoffish to him, the nearest staff would walk up and be ready to throw hands just to keep him safe. They'd also tell him if someone was eyeing him and start teasing him to go make a move or something.
