Story idea #1

something like alternate universe/past life, where two soulmates can keep being reborn, but only after death. In this universe/timeline, the other soulmate is born an immortal who keeps trying to stop the other from being immortal so that they both don't disappear forever and they can still meet somehow (immortals can be killed for good) but the other still persists
