Davos had felt it all day the thrum of the approaching full moon. The first one of spring that always heightened emotions and pulsated euphoria for all creatures including the school population. Each class felt never ending;trapped in the confines of the stone castle was infuriating. They longed to feel the earth under their feet and partake in natures awakening. It didn't help that everyone was preparing to leave for Easter break making each class lecture feel pointless. Huffing a bit flicking their quil back and forth stared down at their doodle not taking in a word of their charms lesson. Finally out of fustration the Professor gave up dismissing all of them early
Davos didn't need to be told twice as they darted out of the classroom to the closes alcove to port out to annoy their favorite elder. Weaving in and out of bustling students they finally stepped through a portal right into the Forbidden Forest. Hidden from the class Davos witnessed the old man bitching at them in annoyance. Grumbling he finally just walked away leaving the confused students to shrug and head back towards the castle.
" What an amazing high quality education they're getting, you should be proud of your skills of teaching, Professor Old Fart." Davos mockingly bowed . " Great, why are you here , aren't you suppose to be scrambling around gathering your things chaoticly?" Gravaise smacked the back of their head making Davos wince with a chuckle "Nawh , not yet, the Ministry is being their usual cunty selves by having the longest debate known to the gods if I'm allowed to return home. Still a prisoner of the so called "Grand British". So I come to bug you while checking on the mooncalfs. You know they like me best."
"Yeah yeah those little shits are about to go into heat so I suggest you feed them extra. When you get back make sure to check over the firecrabs since they like you soooo much." Gravaise smirked smugly. "You can try to keep me occupied all you want but I will still pester you. It's my favorite pastime. " flipping him off Davos grabbed the bucket of feed and began hiking deep into forest.
After an hour or so of calling out while following their tracks Davos still couldn't find any sign of them. They assumed the buggers were off to their own endeavors by now. With a couple of more steps they realized they had wandered towards their favorite spot of refuge. Lately it had been more a second home and dormitory. The Yule break wasn't long enough to help them recuperate from the disaster zone their life had become. Whatever the gods were trying to teach them could they just give them the slightest moment to catch their breath. Closing their eyes Davos concentrated on the sounds of the forest to help their mind slow.
Atleast Davos was blessed to have this one place of their own, even when graced with the presence of a little hidden fairy. During their hospital stay Elysium had come clean about being the creature they had spoken to since second year. Somehow that wasn't surprising. They understood her secrecy and need of protection the forest offered, just... Davos wished she could have trusted them a bit more. They wouldn't admit it to her that through the years meeting her here helped them immensely. Even as things had changed drastically since November flowing into winter break she still keeps them at arms length. It was just as confusing as their friendship with Opie was. Why couldn't mortals just be more direct about their feelings or what they truly wanted. Mortals were great at making you " read between the lines",Nonsense.
With loud bustling coming from behind them Davos smirked, " There you little buggers are . I knew you lot wouldn't miss out on a free meal." Turning around they came face to face with Elysium. " Oh shit , sorry I wasn't expecting a little fairy to be interested in Mooncalf feed. It isn't very tasty , trust me on that one. " Smiling Davos gave her a wink.
" Yeah I truly do not want to know how you know that." Wrinkling her nose in disgust shook her head . It was awkwardly,silent,both unsure how to continue till Davos whistled trying to get the Mooncalfs to intervene with no luck. Swinging the pail slightly couldn't stand the silence , " What brings you out here? Not that you can't be ..." Davos fumbled their words as their mind couldn't decide what to say next. "Just exhausted from avoiding nosy girls questioning me about the breakup and dealing with Evan in general. He's...he's not accepting it. " Elysium rubbed her left forearm. Dropping their pail Davos reached for her arm but stopped midstride . This wasn't their place especially since she was trying to escape the situation. "I can go if you like...." Elysium quickly interrupted them , " No, no you're lingering out here too. If you don't mind company I can join you in your hunt for those carnivorous mooncalfs. They can be beyond vicious." Elysium stepped in front of them playfully guarding them on high alert from the most airheaded sweetest creatures on earth.
Thats all it took to fall back into that easy going comforting atmosphere that this spot gave to them as they began to walk in sync. Sighing in relief it felt just like any other hangout they've had before. The banter and small talk always drifting to off the wall random topics till it fell onto the real reason she was here. Elysium whispered trying to hide her distress the best she could,"I don't know what to do about Evan. It doesn't help that he lives near me so no escape during Easter break. He's been overly persistent denying my decision. My biggest concern is for my Papa. As you know he works with Evan's father and what if our break up effects him as well. Evan constantly held that over me when we were together..." Elysium twiddled with her fingers nervously.
"Look that's not on you, I know its hard but you need to talk to your father about what is and has been going on. You ending things with Evan shouldn't dictate you or your father's lives. Do whats best for you and your happiness which I'm extremely positive both your parents would want as well, " Davos plopped down on a plot of moss. " That piece of shit has taken more than enough from you little fairy." Davos gritted their teeth in anger as Elysium sat next to them. " Yes ,I know. It's actually been freeing like a weight has been lifted even though clearly it's not over yet."
" Well I can always port him onto the side of a sea cliff if you like? " There it was again a bigger brighter smile with a full laugh as she shoved them.
Before they realized it the sun was hanging low on the horizon both not even giving thought about time , there was no point. Being the last night before traveling home the care of where they should be didn't matter. By now most would be at dinner which they hoped no one would take notice of their absence. They rather be here than anywhere else in the realm, to see Elysium speak so animatedly when she got excited abut a topic. Never in a million life times would they interrupt her.
Davos couldnt contain the blush spreading across their face as they helplessly got lost in her deep green eyes. Unfortunately it hadn't gone unnoticed as Elysium fell silent. She looked tenderly at them taking in all of their features till her eyes drifted down towards their lips. The two of them had always teetered back and forth on what was considered an acceptable friendly interaction. It had made it unbearable most the time. Davos gripped the moss nervously unwilling to ignore the heat between them this time.
They slowly inched forward daring to see how Elysium would response. This was yet another stupid stupid decision. It was to late, both of them knowing that for awhile now. It started here in the forest somewhere not connected to reality, a place for just the two of them. Slowly she too drifted towards them as if the gravitational pull pressed them against one another finally connecting their lips.
Hesitantly they explored with light kisses till it grew in desire. Elysium grabbed the front of Davos's shirt guiding them closer wanting more. They couldn't resist if they wanted to, they willingly followed in their desperation for her. Davos cupped her face startled when little zaps from their finger tips made her gasp. Swiping her tounge against their bottom lip Davos opened up to her allowing the kiss to deepen . Elysium slid her hands up their chest feeling the same zaps spark from her own. Davos moaned not willing to question it just allowed it to consume their senses. Their hand dove into her ridiculously soft brown curls gripping tightly as Davos gently tugged her away . They nibbled on her ear lobe till they licked up to the tip making her whimper in pleasure . Kissing back down pressed their devotion upon the crook of her neck. It was intoxicating feeling their magic begin to weave together intensifing their intimacy. Elysium shuddered allowing her hands to wonder their body sending more zaps over Davos's skin. It sent a shiver down their spine unable to hold back a smirk as her Welsh accent was on full display as she demanded more. Davos drank in each and every kiss like a man dying of thirst. As if she could read their thoughts Elysium pressed forward making them lightly fall backwards onto the soft moss surrounding them. Whining at the loss of contact Elysium crawled ontop of them blushing the deepest lovely shade of red finally aware of what she had done. She didn't move just boxed them in with her arms looking down at them. " Show me what you need Little Fairy. I... don't want this to end..." the lust in their voice drove them on. As their hands instantly roamed up the back of her thighs with their zaps flowing through her. The loud moan escaping from her lips made them beg once more," I want to be responsible for your pleasure." The words spilled out as Davos lifted their thigh between her legs pressing against her already damp panties . Dragging their finger nails up under her skirt gripped her arse guiding her to move.
Seeing her so disheveled, lost in euphoria was exhilarating. The way she repeated their name over and over with each wave crashing through them made Davos tremble. Nodding Davos couldn't help but lightly bite down on her shoulder demanding Elysium to move. Grinding down once more she pressed her hand against Davos's chest flowing a surge of magic that pushed both of them over the edge. Trying to catch their breath Davos wrapped their arms around her not ready to give up this bliss just yet . Elysium lay content on top of them nuzzling against their neck. Davos didn't even attempt to move as their mind started to ruin it as it began to race. This was foolish but they wouldn't ever take it back, even if it mean't this was just a one time thing. Looking up at the swaying branches that gave glimpses of the goddess above Davos closed their eyes. Bathing in moonlight they prayed to Selene that she make take pity on them. To allow such a creature cradled in their arms to choose to stay.
