I need a break from the coronavirus craziness going down so here's a happy moment of the bois taking a trip a few weeks back. I hated to stress them out while moving them, but they bring so much sunshine to the living room so of course they had to come with. 🌱🌵🌿

Couldn't get enough of these floor tiles in an abandoned spot on the way to one of my favorite places (E&I Books in Cheonan city).

The fabled scarf is complete. Finally.
Just as the weather's warming up, of course. Isn't that how it goes?
Details:
Double sided for warmth+consistency (subsequently, it looks the same on both sides!), simple fringe, 60/40 wool to acrylic, stockinette all throughout. Stripes are a dark grey rather than black (not about going out looking like a bee, so I tried my best to avoid that).
I love cabling and using varied stitches, but there's a certain charm about large pieces of stockinette that I can't resist.
Next up, project wise: a substantial hanging basket for my plant shelf. Watering supplies, plant food, and insecticide foliar spray have been in a cluttered pile on the floor and that needs to end.

Yet another general introduction. INTP, Enneagram 6, Hufflepuff, and all that jazz.
My husband & I live in South Korea and have been for a number of years now. Therefore studying the language and learning more about Korean culture are some things I’m involved with in my spare time.
Hobbies - fiber arts (knitting, crochet, embroidery). Cooking (Bon Appetit and trial and error taught me everything I know). Reading (classic lit, philosophy & religion, sci-fi & fantasy, the occasional memoir). I also keep plants.
Miscellany - I’ve enjoyed Studio Ghibli films since I was small. Other entertainment interests have waned over the years, but this one has stayed consistent. My music taste changes with the seasons, yet still consists of anything but rap and country.
IMO one of the greatest ways to spend an evening is tucked away at home in a cozy space, enjoying peace and quiet with a book and a hot cup of something or other (hence the blog title).

A restart...
I always have too-high expectations for myself. This page was originally an attempt at starting a travel blog for documenting my life in Korea as a non-student (I was a student here years ago and moved away for a time)...I've been here over a year now and haven't posted beyond the initial intro post.
Hence this restart - a tiny place on the internet where, instead of an overambitious project, I'll just be dumping the occasional thought, experience, snapshot, or favorite thing. I'd like this space to be as honest as possible while keeping emphasis on enjoying the lives we've been given, simply.
