I Back The Blue
This explanation is not meant to be all-inclusive, or weigh you down in description. It is meant to give you only the most basic idea of what this disease is, in the simplest of terms. The term …
Myasthenia Gravis Diagnosis
It has taken two years and visits to eight different doctors, but I finally have answers to why I’ve been getting double vision. My main complaint has been my eyes, so the initial diagnosis was Ocular Myasthenia Gravis (OMG). An autoimmune disease, in which your immune system attacks the chemical that relays the message from the nerves to your muscles. This causes severe muscle fatigue. In the eyes this causes one or both eyes to sag (ptosis) and/or double vision. After I started researching the disease I realized I was also presenting with several of the symptoms of the generalized Myasthenia Gravis. This is where the disease has progressed to the rest of the muscles in your body. After the doctor ran additional tests last week, we found that this has indeed happened. I’ve started on a drug called Mestinon, which helps replace that chemical. It’s helping, but it’s not a cure all. The doctor will be looking at other treatment options for me next month, such as immunosuppressants.

Happy Fall Y'all!
Memories of macrame, decoupage and sewing with my mom. I’m thankful my daughter has the same desire to create things.
This is one for the Crockpot and I have to warn you, it will make your whole house smell delicious! I tried to cut down the amount of prep work as much as possible, since the reason we use the crockpot in the first place is to be able to throw everything in and come home to supper being ready.
My little side business.
