The narrator’s referring to Jax as the “new ally” and Harrison as the “old enemy” even though we know that’s a red herring. The bts shots show Barry with some kind of tech which suggests Harrison gives it to him, though, so hopefully we’ll get one scene midway through, and then maybe he’ll come to the lab at the end once Martin and Jax have flown away in blissful Firestorm matrimony.

Okay, the more I look at this, the more I get the feeling that it’s not so much shadiness this Harrison was radiating off here, but more like sadness, defeat, resignation. Maybe it’s because the “Hello, kids” isn’t included, I don’t know. But I just get the feeling that he’s simply going through the motions. That expression isn’t a smile either, it’s nothing like a smile actually. To me there’s no positive feeling in his expression at all. It’s a grimace. With Eobard, there was ALWAYS something positive (I’m using that term broadly here) in his smile. Whether it was genuine, just for manipulation’s sake, or some sort of self-satisfied smirk in those shady moments of his. When he “smiled” he really did. I can’t call this a smile at all.

We know this guy is called the savior of Central City on Earth 2. Why? We have no idea. But maybe, maybe whatever he did to save the city caused him to either lose someone very important to him ( that Earth’s Tess maybe?) or it changed him drastically.

I don’t know, I guess I wanted to share these thoughts. I rewatched this episode and the third one with my brother and this moment just really grabbed my attention again. And it wouldn’t let me go.

I think the characteristic that differentiated Harribard from other “mustache twirling villains” was the fact that he never did anything for enjoyment’s sake. This is why I think so many of us dislike Mattobard compared to Harribard. Eo wouldn’t smile menacingly at Barry as he was dying. He wouldn’t find enjoyment in Barry’s pain. Whether Eobard Thawne was a scientist as well, I do not know. But seeing as he managed to come back in time and is a genius, I do think he was primarily left brained. Very analytical in the way he chose to act, never doing things that weren’t necessary and not acting based off of emotion (except for the whole “saving Ronnie” thing. #Snowells). I honestly don’t think he would have killed anyone or hurt Barry if he didn’t feel that he had to in his skewed rationalization. This is probably a trait that carried on into Harrison 2. I’m not saying that Earth 2 Harrison is a good guy, I don’t know enough about him to say that, but just because you do bad things doesn’t mean you enjoy doing them. Hence the layer of resignation. In some ways, he is similar to Barry. People calling him the savior of Central City when, clearly, some shady acts have occurred to get him to where he is seemingly make him feel a tiiiny bit guilty. Not enough to stop him from doing said shady things, he is far too ambitious for that, but enough to make him rational. You want to like this man. No wonder Barry apparently trusts him so easily. But, as @politeandnotgay said, it’s probably way too much digging in 2 secs of footage lolol. BUT HIS EYES SPEAK VOLUMES!!!

So far, I love how they did Earth-2, which seems to be in the 1950s on that world. It looks like what people in the 1950s imagined the future to be like. Plus, there's also Jay's clothes and the fashion for the tour guide and those kids.

Yes yes yes! I love the design of retro-future earth 2 very much! It’s amazing how well 50′s fashion and futuristic tech blends together. Also, Tom appearing at the end of ep.3 makes me so excited! It seems that this earth-2 Harrison is very, very smug, just look at the way he smiles :). But what’s he doing on earth 1? Does he have some kind of superpower as well? I can’t wait to see him in future episodes! (But sadly he is not in ep.4 promos. Why why why?)

This other Earth looks very Atompunk, Fallout-esque even… I guess that’s what that rumor meant a while back, about seeing Tom on set “in 50’s clothes”.

Anyway yeah they’re probably totes working together and sleeping together, so Jay’s gonna be like “hey it’s cool, I can vouch for this guy” while our team gives him the shifty side-eye for a while.

The person who told us about the 50s clothes actually said “Tom giving a speech to people in 50s clothes” so I guess it never actually referred to Tom wearing them specifically. Although it’s hard to tell exactly what his suit looks like from that one shot. It would be kind of odd if he was the only one in modern gear, but some of the people in the crowd look more modern, maybe?

That’s what makes most sense to me right now, that they’re boyfriends and Jay can vouch for him. But for all we know, THIS isn’t even the Harrison Tom’s mainly playing.

Well he might be in 2x02. But I think he filmed that scene as part of 2x04 or 2x05 (although they could’ve still put it in 2x02). And it seems likely that they’ll have a couple of episodes without him just so there’s a break between Eobard and this new Harrison. BUT I hope I’m wrong! I neeeeeeed Tom!
