I think I’m getting way too bored. I have been in such a shitty mood today. currently really disgruntled about ai. which is typical for me, I always hate ai, but currently I’m just really riled up about it and it’s keeping me in an even worse mood than before.

I am ITCHING for the day one of my husband’s parents asks me what I think of ai. I WANT AN INVITATION TO SPEAK FREELY. ever since I got married I have found myself in the company of a lotttt of adults (I know I’m also an adult, but like. adults who are older than me), and have had the unpleasant discovery that a disappointing amount of them openly and widely use various ai programs. a man in my church group mentioning asking chatgpt to explain a chapter of Moby Dick that he didn’t understand after listening to the audiobook. my in-laws following ai-guided diets and sending ai generated images of themselves in the family group chat. my own dad using ai as part of his research and showing interest in taking classes related to it and integrating it into his business. it’s all around me, and I hate it with such a passion, and it burns inside me to keep quiet when these people bring it up. I am begging you just- STOPPPPP
