Alastor is not "just as bad as Vox when it comes to touching people"

Seriously, this nonsense needs to stop. The whole Alastor is a hypocrite thing might have been funny when it started, but it has gotten completely out of control, and now people are repeating that line that "Alastor is just as bad as Vox when it comes to touching people" with complete seriousness. I saw someone make a video to prove this point against Alastor, and to make it come even close, it still wasn't, they had to include everyone that Alastor had ever touched in some way. However, let's take a look at the people whom Alastor touches. Not hits or pushes out of the way, which some people are including in order to muddy the waters, because Alastor is touch-averse and doesn't touch people that much.

Mimzy, who is his friend and therefore would not qualify as an unwanted touch.

Niffty, who actually initiates contact more than Alastor does.

Charlie is the person he touches the most and most of the time, she welcomes it. Alastor uses touch to manipulate Charlie because touch is Charlie's language. Touch is how he convinces her to trust him. He would not use touch on her if she disliked it because it would damage the whole trust-building process. He has also used touch to guide and empower her. To Charlie, Alastor touching her shows that he is willing to get closer to her. I have seen a lot of people showing Alastor touching Charlie in S01E05 without showing that her reaction to it was happiness. His touch was very appreciated in that episode. Even after the whole thing where he teleports into her bedroom and gets her to make a deal with him, she willingly takes his hand on the way to Cannibal Town. That whole thing he did also ended up getting her out of her depressive state and motivating her towards moving forward

Husk is the only person whom I would say that Alastor touches in a non-consensual way. However, he doesn't touch Husk like Vox touches him. He touches Husk like Rosie touches him, because that is where he learnt how to handle the souls he owns from. He doesn't consider Rosie a creep, so that would not apply here.

Those are the people Alastor touches in the show. This post does a good job of showing the difference between how Vox touches people and how Alastor touches people better than I can. My point is you can't just erase all context to claim that Alastor touches people just as much as Vox. Firstly, it's not true, and secondly, it completely downplays Vox's actions. Alastor is not the type to see himself as a victim or think of putting too much thought into what he allowed himself to be subjected to for his goals. This is as close as Alastor allowed himself to get to complaining about all the stalking, and being forced to watch Vox have sex, and yes, the non-stop touching. If you are not someone who is touch-repulsed, you cannot begin to understand how or why that continuous touching is genuinely the most annoying part. I expect Alastor to be even more reluctant to let people touch him after this season because he has been truly touched out.

I didn't feel disgust for this whole thing until I saw someone actually go full mask off and use it to justify Vox's actions towards Alastor. The person straight up said that everything Vox did to Alastor, from the torture to making Alastor watch him have sex with Valentino and all the constant touching, which by the way did not stop after Alastor pulled away that time, was justified because Alastor was a hypocrite. At that point, I lost all tolerance for this whole nonsense. It was truly the most disgusting thing that I had ever read.

okay biiig rant incoming but just spilling out all of my thoughts about byeast 15 and the fandom

(note, critiques of the update are fine! as long as you aren't blowing things out of proportion, spreading misinformation, or attacking/accusing people or the devs, feel free to say whatever you'd like!)

also sorry if this isn't coherent im writing this randomly late at night because I've been just feeling so bummed out lowkey also please please please don't feel obligated to agree with me on everything here it's mostly my opinion

i also do NOT think the writing was the greatest thing ever, but I don't think it was near horrible enough to solicit THIS reaction from the fandom (again disliking the episode and critiquing the writing is all fine! just DONT do the things I mentioned above) I thought that the writing WAS quite flawed, but people need to also realize that the story is FAR from over and still has many chances to cover plotlines that haven't been resolved or explained

and despite the flaws I really enjoyed the episode personally

White Lily: blatantly, her death was NOT suicide, nor was it promoting or telling you to kill yourself if you've done horrible things

yes, she did this KNOWING she would die, but that doesn't mean she was doing it TO die?? like ive seen someone say, this is basically like saying any person who's went to war knowing there was a good chance of them dying on the battlefield or just sacrificed themself for another commit suicide

I don't believe the story was trying to say that death = freedom either

it was that lily sacrificed her own freedom to give freedom to others, and nilla saying that he hoped she could find peace and freedom after all she's done, not that sacrificing herself and dying WAS her only way to freedom

her death was pretty much unavoidable anyway, it was a long time coming and had already been heavily foreshadowed in the narrative

even if she hadn't gone the route she went in the story, she STILL would have died

if she didn't succeed in staying awake in the rift, she would've died there

if enchantress was killed by something or someone else, she would die because of that

only thing I can think of with her not dying is a villain winning ending

if she didn't go in the rift, enchantress wins and finds her but keeps her alive since they can't exist without each other and she has to face the fact that the freedom for all cookiekind failed, everyone is dead or going to be absorbed, and there's nothing she can do

and in that situation for something she COULD do is kill enchantress, which would still end up with her death

also, people are believing that someone actually commit because of something a random person said with no evidence on TWITTER of all platforms??

even if that IS true, that's not the company's fault, nor is it a reason to attack and wish death upon the writers and employees over a likely false rumor

odd plug but I just think hyperhimes and some people in the comments adress this well

Spice, Sugar, and Flour's fates: okay guys

they technically are NOT dead, their bodies are but their souls are still in the living world, and inhabiting a vessel (shami)

while they don't seem to have full control over things, they are probably still conscious and aware through those eyes and may even be able to speak through shami like souls do with the ultimate cookie

they are also obviously still appearing within the story- the bug forms of them could even be taken hold of by their souls and technically make them living again, though that's just a thought rather than canon

just remember that this ISN'T the end of their arcs, likely far from it

the devs have stated that the beasts have later story importance and may have more backstory explored (dominion of the beasts was only a peek, not the full story, as specifically stated in this whole video , plus more things that people seem to be forgetting)

Silent Salt: i won't lie, im definitely not sure what they're going to do with him, but he's DEFINITELY still story important, shamil is literally doing all this mostly to cause him the utmost despair, even with other reasons as well that is a main focus, as stated by him in the text itself

he also still has his own bug form, so I doooo wonder what that'll be about, quite interested to see if it's perhaps shami's version of how he previously saw him or tweaked to how he wants to know salt

Shadow Milk: ough

even if devsis HAS milked shami, that is NOT what they were doing in this story

he's always been set up, foreshadowed, and portrayed as a main villain and focus, I know i already talked about this but hjmbsn

the story has also been planned out for years, they wouldn't have pulled this out on a whim and change the lore entirely in a single year just because he got popular

his character and even some things about his arc had been foreshadowed before he even showed up as an npc anyways??

he's MEANT to be in the spotlight, he's MEANT to be a focus, and he always has been?? even before he was nearly as popular before he was now he was in two separate updates (theater of lies and wind archer's story whatever it was called again) and displayed as important

this has ALLLLWAAYYS been the case guys, don't blame the devs for just portraying his character how he's meant to be portrayed

the direction his story is going in also just makes the most sense- he's been betrayed and lied to about his entire life in his eyes, and is now also infused with countless other souls?? why SHOULDN'T he have gone insane??

i would go into more depth but I already talked about this and this rant is already ridiculously long

another thing- when they DO milk him, why shouldn't they?? they have high effort updates EVERY MONTH and have over 1000 employees to pay with a game that is FREE TO PLAY AND DOWNLOAD

if a character gets them extra money, why SHOULDN'T they use that to their advantage?? of course corporate greed comes into play as well but they NEED this money to keep content coming out so quickly

Sugar Swan: could this have been handled better? yes! but does that make it the most awful thing ever? no!

while I do think she could've gotten her own update she'll DEFINITELY have more story importance, this isn't the end of her dudes

also people seem to not realize that ovenbreak characters that come to kingdom do not HAVE to have the same personality/story down to the point

crob and crk take place in completely different timelines with different events and different characters- it would be more boring if they were just copy pasted exactly from their initial appearance other than having voice acting now

I don't really have much to say but I will repeat something else I've said that annoys me

cookie run players are extremely contradictory of themselves

before the update, everyone was BEGGING that sugar swan wasn't just an overpowered deus ex machina that saved the day, and then were angry when she WASN'T that after the update?? huh???

it's not just that though, they literally find a way to complain about anything and everything even if it was what they previously asked for

Ultimate Cookie: while this isn't really a debate in the fandom compared to the other things, a lot of people feel that their appearance was cut short and that they should be more important and just ???

they're most definitely not gone from the story, did you all just collectively miss THIS???

while I don't know what exactly will happen with TUC, they will have more importance

Timekeeper Cookie: just going to say that jesus christ guys her not smiling in two different frames does not make immediate mischaracterization

it's likely either for shock effect, more expression in the animation, or just to show how serious this whole situation is

dealing with shami isn't going to just be a walk in the park dude teeper had already been worried and preparing for this in ovenbreak

i WILL say that my previous statement about ovenbreak characters not being the same in kingdom does not apply to this entirely, they can change her up a bit but hopefully not too much since this timekeeper is the same one as the one in ovenbreak rather than one from a different timeline

this may even give us more insight on teeper backstory considering that guys

An unprompted rant about Flavor Foley songs and being percieved by others

I think that the four most recent Flavor Foley songs aren't only about change. I've seen many people talk about how Static, Spoken For, Human and Ego Renegade Boy are all respectively about needing stagnation, needing change, willing to change and already having been changed. I think that this isn't the only motif connecting these songs, though - they are also about how we depend on other people's perceptions about ourselves.

First of all (and one of the most obvious ones in that regard), Static. Miku desperately needs attention, needs the constant human connection, because her entire existence is dependent on her being perceived by others. She constantly addresses the listener - aka the one who is watching the show - begging them to keep watching, to look at her, to stay. She’s terrified of disappearing, which I think refers either to the fact she's alive only when the tv is on or to her show getting cancelled if people don't watch it. Therefore her existence depends on other's perception.

Secondly, Spoken For. This song is pretty much the opposite to Static: where Miku loves and needs the attention, Teto absolutely hates it. None of her decisions are her own because of the fact she relies on her fans’ perceptions. She puts on a mask that was forced onto her by other people. She's failed to even be human now - only a blank slate that you can turn into anything you want. She hates her status, she doesn't know what she is under all the masks, she only knows that the pressure she's put under causes her suffering. She's begging for help, once again relying on someone else, this time hoping they’re merciful, and not trying to force her to be what they want. Her entire identity is based on how she's perceived.

Now we have something a bit less obvious - Human. Miki sings about being a robot and wanting to become human, but how does outward perception come into play here? Well, Miki is basing her own humanity on what she’s learned from other people, she keeps asking if what she’s doing and feeling is human. She relies on how she herself perceives humanity and how others will perceive her when she acts on what she's learned.

Lastly, Ego Renegade Boy. Len is seen as a killer, despite simply living his truth. He's also kind of an outlier among Miku, Teto and Miki: unlike them, he doesn't rely on perception, instead disputing it or just not giving a fuck. He's basically saying that the people who accuse him of killing his past self and still perceive him as Rin are just wrong and he won't entertain their wants just to appease them. He breaks the mould, showing that you don't have to reply on other's opinion about you to create your own identity.

What I'm saying is, these songs are fucking fire and I love Flavor Foley for giving us such profound songs even if they seem simple because yes, it is that deep. My wrists hurt from writing this tho lmao. go listen to Ego Renegade Boy it's fucking peak

oh the brain worms remembered that i havent posted my Daemos boys designs,

theres. a COUPLE headcanons involved!! and just to note these werent my final designs (aside from Rhys oh RHYS UGH HES SO PERFECT) cough ehm but yes. expect some more future daemos boys art, eventually.. some tidbits (rambling) under the cut about the designs + headcanons and analysis C:

Rhys:

ive always pictured him as this soft-faced, cute looking guy. i needed to find a way to make him look simultaneously smart-but-kinda-smug-but-not-in-an-"im better than you"-way, so i caved and gave him the thick eyebrows + dimples combo. i just. i dunno i really like looking at him. he's so Rhys shaped to me.

ALSO, for those curious, his hair is kinda meant to be a mix between really tight curls + kinda styled dreads. im a big fan of giving black/dark skinned characters curly hair over dreadlocks, despite how difficult ringlets are to draw ToT. BUT, using shapes as a compromise, im kinda able to replicate how i feel super tight curls would look. i also just never saw Rhys with the typical "black videogame character" hairstyle, so seeing him with something kinda like that on the MID season 2 poster was a little jarring for me, lol. FORTUNATELY they've given him braids over dreads, so i can accept the hairstyle change--to a degree.

getting a little clearer into headcanon territory, i imagine Rhys has a few burn/frostburn scars oh his body. like, maybe a spell went haywire when he was first learning, or he got hit by something really bad during a battle back on Daemos. OR, even better, he sometimes gets so overwhelmed by his anger that he ends up hurting himself with his magic in the process. despite Daemos having faster healing due to their magic, Rhys' emotional outbursts could lead to him damaging himself to a degree where he'd need longer treatment. he'd have the most unique scars out of the entire group because of stuff that C:< or maybe i just like character details that are related to their emotions leading to permanent injury/reminders.. sighhhh

Pierce:

just wanna preface that the scar on his face will NOT be on any other art i draw of him!! it was an impulsive decision to draw that and im not sure if i even like it!! i prefer the idea that Pierce is hard to hit--despite his large build--therefore he'd have the least scars. at least imo

Pierce is a broad guy. he'd be broad. BIG muscle guy. but that also means that he should have the most toned features. and by that i mean he'd look like the most loveable guy!!! a beautiful small smile!! he's so emotional for someone of so little words. i really like the guys who are super smart, but dont have much to say, so they generally just express the bare minimum. i'd imagine his face gives him away a lot though, purely because he's quite emotive. especially in MID. in my rewatch, i noticed his expression changed the most within shots/scenes. whenever someone was talking Pierce would react in the smallest but most expressive ways. it helped me appreciate him a lot more, because everything he did personified him. gaah he's just a great character man!!

i also love!!!! loove long-haired Pierce. when i first watched MID--way back in 2019 when it was airing--i had no idea he had long hair. but now that i know it makes him SOOOO much hotter. modern/smp Pierce having short hair is a big downer to me, because him having long hair is!! its so him!! but, it does help keep the disconnect between the two characters, so im not entirely upset about it. i often draw guys with hair all at different lengths. i dunno its. its hot imo. they can be propper, upright guys, and their hair is all different lengths. it adds soo much character, and is also realistic in consideration of the time between their shorter haircut vs their grown-out hair. (for people who've seen my stormlight archive Kaladin art, i have the same feelings on his hair) therefore, a silly headcanon of mine is that Pierce had shorter hair at one point. much shorter. and then once he'd had it grown out enough, he worried about being able to see during combat, so he started trimming some parts of a fringe. it became less of a worry for him on Earth, so his fringe ended up growing out a little longer than he meant. i also just really like characters whose hair grows faster compared to others, so he has that too C:

Asch:

Asch was an interesting case for me. I imagine him as a pretty boy looking character, someone with a handsome-but-in-a-cute-way-face but a muscular build. like, iuno something about him specifically being the pretty boy of the group just. it gets to me. this isnt headcanon this is canon to me. he's a pretty boy prince what MORE COULD I ASK FOR this also makes me think quite a bit. because in Daemos society, strength is what matters above all. while Asch has looks, his physical and magical strength matter more in the grand scheme of things. compared to his brother Rhal--who i picture as a more conventionally masculinely-handsome way--Asch would probably be seen as less appealing, esp when it comes to marriage. which would help explain why he hasn't been wed yet, imo..

he's SUCH a tsundere it drives me crazy. like you cannot convince me that he WOULDNT have such a soft and loving expression with the people (cough AVA cough) he cares about. and simultaneously he has the ability to perform most aggressive, sassy eyeroll imaginable. ugh Asch has got such a nice juxtaposition in that regard. he's got some of the most beautiful features, and has such soft loving eyes when you least expect it, and yet his scowl is deep and cruel, and his hatred blazes with such fury. AJAJAJAJAJAJUE I LOVEE IT

also, im surprised to say that Asch is one of a few characters in this spread whose hair i made too long. while it haaas admittedly grown on me, its just. its probably not that long. i draw it a tad shorter in some of my other pieces that ill show eventually.. something to mention in tandem with the Daemos boys' hair, you've probably noticed that everyone has pointy ears. im a sucker for fantasy humanoids having pointy ears, despite being biologically mostly human. AND, you've probably noticed that Asch's ears are reaaally long and pointy. a big headcanon of mine is that either his father and/or his mother had the gene for really long ears. so both him and Rhal have the long ears. its also semi a "the royals get the gene" kinda headcanon, but i debate myself on that a little every now and again.

Noi:

the baby, itty bitty guy of the group; Noi. UGH HES MY CUTIIEE, ooog i love himm!!! nothing will ever make me hate the little guys in groups, especially when theyre as endearing as Noi gets to be.

because of shape language n' shit, Noi is round but pointy. he's soft and sweet, its true, but he's from a war-ridden dimension. he's dangerous in his own ways, he's just never needed to express them because theyre not on Daemos. so, Noi gets to look like an absolute goober while i sneakily imply he's a little more deadly than we know. he looks exactly as i imagine him and it makes me happyyy

also, i just. gosh. goodness. i made him too cute damnit. every time i open that sketchbook and i see his tiny face smile so lovingly i get a little flustered. thats how i imagine him looking at Ava after he discovered he loved her. he CANNOT hold it in!! he is BESOTTED!! and that matters soo damn much to me.

out of all the Daemos boys, Noi is the most genuine about his feelings for Ava. Asch and Rhys found the idea appealing before they truly became attached to her, Pierce's feelings are mixed with guilt, shame, and affection, meanwhile Noi and Leif are the ones who genuinely care so deeply for Ava--Noi sooner than Leif.. in some areas. it just drives me wilddd it makes me insane!!! and he's so tragic about it too damnit! Ava is his one and only shot at love, a relationship, a family. and while all those prospects are appealing to him on their own, Ava has shown him a care he wouldnt have ever experienced. especially not on Daemos. he loves her so utterly and purely. she means everything to him and it makes me sooo saad.

i get mad "character that would die for the one they love" vibes from him. and not in the ironic, oh haha that would never happen way. im genuinely concerned for his safety in My Inner Demons season 2.

Leif:

out of all the designs on this page, i would say Leif's is the farthest from how i actually wanted him to look. i made his hair TOO DAMN LONGG and TOO DANG WEIRD. ugh it pmo so bad. his hair is supposed to be shorter than thaatt. sigh. otherwise, aside from that, and a small part of his face shape, hes still kinda how i envision him. sorta. not really. sigh his is my least favourite on this page. which hurts to say, since Leif is one of my top two favourites out of all the Daemos boys (Rhys being the other favourite...)

i deeply, so deeply headcanon and want his right-eye scar to have come from a slash that nicked him on the right side of his chest too. i just. ouugh i love characters that have long, bruital scars. theyre so yum. so yeah. i love imagining all his trauma cough what who said that?!?! i also did my best to make sure Leif had the pointiest shape language out of all the Daemos boys. because, yknow, "triangles and sharp edges=dangerous!!!" type shit, but also because i just like drawing that way. the shapes also do suit Leif really well.. so im feeding myself while drawing him anyway ehehe..

Leif has honestly gotta be the funniest character in all of MID. his slightly-evil, murderous nature just adds to that. it makes him kinda dorky, but like in an "i can kill you" way. and thats hot. he's also just so damn real. the phone wont shut up? bash it against a wall until it stops. the computer wont compute? straight up stab it until it stops. the people are being mean to my friend? destroy them and show no mercy until they stop... being mean to my friend.

he folds for Ava so quickly--but its so subtle in comparison to the other Daemos. i mean, everyone aside from Noi was pretty subtle anyway, but Leif specifically showed signs of a crush really early on. the fact that he was so willing to kill Lorelai's "friends" to make Ava feel better--and not simply out of his own malicious nature--was so interesting. NOT TO MENTION THE MALL SCENE!! oh my gosh, when he confesses how his life on Daemos was like, and how he fears abandonment, and doesnt want it to happen again. and then Ava says she'll never leave him!! like she doesnt even think, she's already decided/accepted that the Daemos boys will be with her for the rest of her life. and Leif's little "you promise?" BEFORE BRUSHING IT OFF UGHHH WHATT. that. that was the moment i knew he fell in love with her.

she means so much to him, and he just. he sucks at showing it. his whole life, all he knew was slaughter and pain. and then Ava stumbles into his and the other Daemos' life, and shes so oblivious and kind. shes got no idea why theyre really there. no idea about how the boys have manipulated the truth. no idea that she had been on the list of sacrificial lambs that would've been taken back to Daemos. no idea that the boys would do anything to keep her safe, after everything they've experienced with her. and Leif. ohh how it mustve pained Leif to have lost her after her promise. how has it affected him? what will he do about it? how will he save her?

you can probably tell which ship is my bias atp. its Leif x Ava. i mean, im a multishipper, in reality i ship her with all of the boys. but Leif x Ava specifically makes me soooo hungry for more. ooh theyre sooo tragic together. oh theyre sooo chaotic evil together..

My take on Radio-Silence in canon

I saw a comment on YouTube that said "One of them is a narcissist with serial-Killer tendencies, and the other is a serial-killer with narcissistic tendencies ." And thats very spot on for my interpretation. The biggest difference is why they did what they did.

This is going to get very, very long, so im putting it under a read more

Alastor didnt need to kill, he killed purely for the love of the game. If someone pissed him off, then they became a target, simple as that. He was a hunter who ate what he killed, his chosen game just happened to be humans.

In the flashback it looked like Alastor would have excused the man spilling his drink on him, right up until the man looked at him, decided he wasnt important and then laughed while doing it again deliberately, that is when Alastor decided that this man had chosen death.

He likes to be respected, and as a mixed race man in the entertainment buisness, he was probably no stranger to being looked down upon. If someone didn't show him respect, then they are targeted and he makes sure they fear him before he gleefully ends their life.

He made a great career on the radio, the one medium where no one could judge his skin colour, and his transatlantic accent made it so no one would suspect him not being the same as everyone else. He was happy with where he was in life, he had a job he enjoyed, and his hobby of killing people didnt seem in danger of him being discovered. He was so content with his life, that he didn't want it to change even after death. "I want to continue my fun"

Vox, on the other hand?

Vox was never content with the hand that fate dealt him, despite not having to deal with judgment based on his ethnicity or social status. Some people have pointed out that his hetrochromia might have gotten him bullied, and in the days of black and white tv, that wouldn't matter when he was on the air? But he was always jealous of everyone else's success, starting at the bottom of the ladder and resenting those above him, always thinking that he deserved it more than them.

Every kill was targeted specifically so he could climb the ladder 'via dead man's boots', even going so far as to imitate the person he killed by dressing like them. He didn't get where he was from talent, he didn't work hard like Alastor to gain respect and earn his way into his positions. As far as we know, being a weatherman was the only job he qualified for by his own merit, everything else was achieved from cutting out the competition.

And he learnt early on that controversy always got a reaction. If there was nothing eventful happening, he'd stage an 'accident' to boost ratings for his own shows. He didnt care about anyone but himself and what they could do for him and his goals.

He took the same downwards spiral in life that he ended up repeating at the end of season 2, convincing himself that he should be a god, and that no one could stop him from reaching his goals, damned be to anyone else. But the thing about cult leaders? They are nothing without their cult. Vox needs constant validation because he never feels good enough by himself.

He wants to be a god, because theres nothing higher to aim for. Like alastor says "You'll never fill your cup. You're broken from the start, no victory will ever be enough." Because Alastor knows that Vox is always chasing the next best thing because he's never going to be satisfied with what he has or who he is.

Vox needs validation because on his own, he doesn't feel like even he himself can meet his own impossible standards. He keeps people around him for the validation, but his ego makes it so that he wont admit that he needs them.

And that's why he has his break down at the end, because he's alone, no one is on his side, and he'd rather die and kill everyone around him, than admit that he failed. Even when he was alive, you can see despite him being so charismatic and manipulative in the cult meeting, his hair is dishevelled, he's falling apart because he got what he wanted and doesnt know where else to go. It's possible that he planned to kill his whole cult, but ended up dying because he didnt take care in setting things up, his hubris so strong that he was convinced nothing woudl go wrong.

He even admit in his song that he blindly believes his own bullshit. "Manifest destiny, as long as you invent in me, the rest will all fit into place." As long as he has his cult, he believes he's untouchable. And hes so convincing that not even the angels realise that Vox doesnt actually have a way to get to heaven, he can fire the weapon, but has no way to physically step foot inside heaven. He's hoping that his threat is strong enough hat the angels will be scared enough to give him heaven and it'll work out somehow.

I think that despite Alastor refusing to aknowlege that he and Vox were friends (Mimzy even said that friends wasnt a word Alastor would use for the two fo them, and they've been close since they were alive) When Vox offered him a partnership, he was disappointed, because he really saw who Vox truly was.

Regardless if Vox was being honest or not in that moment, Alastor knew Vox enough to know that he would be used to pull Vox up the ladder. Alastor doesnt even get angry, he just laughs because its so ridiculous to him. After the seemingly carefree relationship they had, Vox wanted to partner with Alastor, who was essentially the top of the food chain in hell at that point, and Alastor was supposed to believe there was no ulterior motive? Everyone above Vox in his life was a potential threat, why would that be different in death?

And then when he is rejected, what does Vox do? He changes his appearance to be more similar to Alastor, starts being more ruthless to get ahead in becoming an Overlord, finds souls he can team with the boost their powers and gain more influence. All of this would just prove to Alastor that Vox was never a friend, that he was always a target for Vox.

Vox is the kind of person Alastor would have targeted if they met when they were alive. And Alastor is someone Vox would never have even looked twice at while alive. So why would Alastor trust that things were different in Hell?

Complicated and Sad really are the right words for these two.

System vs Fictionkin ,, Fight !!

Am I the only one who's getting pissed at all the systems who are attacking folk- primarily Fictionkin- for using terms? And adding onto that, that are just complete dicks to Fictionkin folk? (This is pretty much a rant ,, also probably gonna be made into a video by me, so yk stay tuned)

Like "source." Because buddy im not going to hold your hand when I tell you this but, 'source' isnt a system exclusive fucking term. Source means from which something comes from, please learn basic English. Source can be used for fucking anything, by anyone, for any reason, as long as 'from which is comes from' is how theyre using it.

And dont get me started on "past memories" because oh my good fucking gods, YOU DO NOT OWN PAST MEMORIES. Past memories means past fucking memories ,, memories that someone has from the past, shocker.

"Doubles" buddy. Buddy. Buddy. Buddy shut up. Doubles mean 2 of the same thing, which yet again isn't system exclusive.

"Source mates" FOR FUCKS SAKE. We already went over source so ill explain mates; mates meaning 'close with one another.' ,, just because you slapped 2 words together- both of which you dont own- doesn't mean that you own the god damn term.

No, not all Fictionkin are systems who are mislabeled, and you saying that is extremely invaliding but also just fucking rude. Theres a very clear difference between Fictionkin and systems, but people never care to learn the difference. The difference being: Fictionkin identify as a fictional character or species. Systems being folk who have experienced trauma at a young age to where they didn't form one sense of self/personality, so now have 2 or more identities.

(Also not typing all that out) Buddy, so many people believe in past lives and reincarnation, just because someone past life is fictional that doesn't mean you get the right to invalidate in and say it isn't real? This is literally just a Dick move. "But its fictional!" WHO CARES. 60-90% of Fictionkin who believe in past lives believe their identity because of the multiverse ,, amd I swear to gods if Yall start to try and hate on people who believe in the multiverse oh my gods.

(Not typing it out .. These are long ok) Ableism I see, ok. Oh no, im not going to gloss over how this is completely ableist, no. Calling people delusional is ableist. It harms folk who do have delusions and demonizes them for having said delusions. But let me also say you cant diagnose folk through the internet just by one thing, thats not how it works. As someone who activity has delusional theres more to it then just one thing ,, but just identifying as a character isn't even a delusion.

"Fictionkin shouldn't/cant use simply plural." Ignoring that simply plural is shutting down ,, yes? They can?? Simply literally has an opinion to say youre no a system. "But its a system space" its a logging app. 'System' apps are usually the only apps that have what Fictionkin (and otherkin folk) need to keep track of their kins ,, as far as im aware theres no apps made specifically for Fictionkin, and even if there was i can practically guarantee that systems would take it over and use it as their own, because it would work pretty- if not identical- to system apps. "Just use google docs or something" you are literally spitting anti system phrases. Same reason why systems use simply plural instead of google docs; too many, too much. So get over it.

"Fictionkin are invading system discord servers" this point does have some marite behind it, but its not sound. Many Fictionkin join system servers because get this ... Many system servers are advertised as Fictionkin welcoming/safe ,, theyre Fictionkin servers too.

And lastly for this point: very few Fictionkin are actually joining system spaces ,, and even the few that are that doesn't mean the majority are. All you do when you say Fictionkin are invading system spaces is demonizes Fictionkin and hurt the folk who havent done anything.

If youre a system (or just someone) who genuinely thinks like this please please please for the love of gods tell me why, because I can not wrap my head around this.
