Yvaine tilted her head curiously at that, clearly wondering what trouble Nikita had gotten into. Lately she found it was easier and easier for people to find themselves in trouble, with no one else on their side.

Nikita laughed again as she turned towards the bird. “Oh, so you can shift between what creature you are.. Cool. I’m gonna guess you can’t become human and talk to me, right?”

The shifter hooted, tilting her head. Being in owl form had it’s advantages- but then there were moments like this where she wished she could communicate even though she probably shouldn’t.

Nikita looked up to see a snowy owl, and she snorted, shaking her head. “Goodness gracious, now you’re talking to animals.. How mad can you get at this point?” she laughed.

Another day, and a boring one at that. She walked through the snowy woods, knowing she was leaving tracks, but not caring. She was just leading them away anyways. It was fairly quiet, no one around, not really. After a while, she stopped and leaned against a tree, closing her eyes for a moment until she felt like someone was watching her. “What are you looking at?” she asked, looking down at her feet.
