as always, the drafts for context are here. the draft 4 used as partial basis for Three Pines is the one dated 21-10-1984. The version of the Lorraine and Marty car scene in these drafts are NOT canon here to Fridge or Three Pines. It plays out the same way as the final film's version.

i pulled elmdale being in ohio outta my butt. i was giggling and kicking my feet about peak at the time
Beta Marty, aka "Fridge": A variant of Marty from Elmdale, Ohio, and dating a girl named Suzy Parker.
The infamous boy who traveled through time via a fridge, not a DeLorean. His journey through time was from 1982 to March 11th, 1952, and then back home to a present day that was late 40's retrofuturism instead of all dingy like he remembers. Due to this, he's 21 in 1986 when he finds himself suddenly back in Nevada with another Marty. Being as it's been 4 years, he got used to the new present day.
Color him surprised when he's in a timeline that's just like good old 1982. The way he returned home was driving through a nuclear test site in a truck, and then hiding inside of the time machine fridge.
His most notable difference is he wears a Silver Porche jacket (and sunglasses) instead of a denim jacket.
His personality, in short? He's a smug asshole. All the time. At least Pine Needle isn't!
Even 85A got fed up with him eventually.
He's a video pirate, but also an aspiring musician.
He smokes weed. He's also the only Marty who prefers Coke over Pepsi. Yet he also drinks Tab. The rest find him disgusting for that.
He was much much more irresponsible during his time in 1952, and also had interest in using time travel for financial gain.
The way the machine works is also different. Honestly I can't even wrap my mind around it. But he got blipped instead of traveling inside a physical machine. Doc had also already completed it in 1952.
His father George is a boxer in the new timeline, and he suspects that he might be the mysterious boy named 'Marty Lewis' (which is an alias that Doc came up with) that helped him and Eileen get together. They first met in the cafeteria when George spilled his creamed corn on Eileen. Marty has a brother, but no sister.
Said Marty Lewis played "Turn Back the Hands of Time" with Lester Moon and the Midnighters, the song they had their first kiss to. He still played Johnny B. Goode, but segued into "Rock Around the Clock". A bit on the nose, wouldn't ya say? He also causes a riot and dances much more wildly.
He calls his Doc "Prof", as in "Professor Emmett Brown". Prof lives in an abandoned Orpheum theater. He got shot by police rather than terrorists, and rather than his death being caught on video, it's caught on cassette tape. Prof had his revelation about time travel when he got hit on the the head with a bottle at a frat party. He's the one who wakes up Marty after he faints in front of the Baines residence, which is the same one the present day McFly family lives in. He still awakes in the Baines residence. Marty still writes him a warning letter... I think? I keep skimming the script but i CANNOT find it for the life of me.
He doesn't have an Einstein in his timeline. Instead, Prof has a pet Monkey named Shemp.
His Biff is a security guard. Instead of crashing the family car, he breaks a drill. They're both much more outwardly aggressive towards each other, with Biff outright calling him an a-hole. Biff's goons are named Skinhead, Match, and Gums.
Three Pines Marty: A variant of Marty also from Elmdale, Ohio, and also dating a Suzy Parker!
His adventure through time starts on October 10th, 1985 at 1:11 AM, and he arrives. He drives the DeLorean to 88MPH and arrives on March 19th, 1955 at 5:35 A.M., and his journey ends at Part 2, but that is a maybe. Number Two and Paradox... 👀 He got home to 1985 by driving through a nuclear test site.
He's based on both draft 3 and draft 4. The Clocktower being stuck at 10:02 PM is from the latter.
He wears a light jacket, and the clothing item that gets him subject to ridicule is bright green converse, which Biff and the gang called leprechaun shoes. Notably, he also wears red underwear, not lavender. His sunglasses are also Porche instead of Zeiss.
He's got a penchant for using chewing gum like an adhesive. Beta does too.
He also has a tendency to be quite disrespectful when talking to or about his parents, and sometimes even Doc! He's often making quips about his parents at the dinner table. Still less of an asshole than Fridge. He also had a nasty case of stage fright. He's also a fan of the Camaro Z-28 rather than the Hilux.
Unlike Marty Lewis, Calvin 'Marty' Klein only played "Rock Around the Clock" at the Springtime in Paris dance with Marvin Moon and the Midnighters.
The Doc he knows is an old hippie that lives in an RV and got the idea for the Temporal Field Capacitor (not the Flux Capacitor!) after getting hit on the head with a bottle, but at a house party on the day Marty arrives in 1955 instead (which Marty is around to witness). He often calls Marty 'kid'.
The Einstein he knows is a Saint Bernard.
His George and Lorraine are identical to Twin Pines' George and Lorraine.
Biff was to go to the dance with Lorraine, so Marty breaks into his bedroom as an alien instead. His catchphrase is still "asshole", but sometimes he says "dipshit".
How did these two get these nicknames?
• Three Pines is easy. He said Elmdale has a mall named Three Pines Mall.
• Fridge stuck after he told everyone he traveled through time by way of fridge... Everyone also got a kick out of it, and he's a dick so he brought it upon himself.
What's the Marty's opinions on them?
Pretty much everyone towards Fridge: He's an ass!
Fridge and Three Pines: Always butting heads. Essentially an inverted Twin Pines and Pine Needle dynamic. The former reminds the latter of Needles (As far as we know, Needles exsists as early on as Paradox, but not in Number Two.)
Fridge and Twin Pines: He does not like the guy. Too much like Needles.
Fridge and 85A: Liked him at first because he also pisses Martin off. But he got annoying eventually.
Fridge and Martin: Martin thinks he's a hooligan.
Fridge and Pine Needle: Fridge almost got himself a punch.
Everyone's just kinda neutral towards Three Pines because he's not as much of a dick. Except Martin (who'da thunk! we alll did this is js martin to EVERYONE...)
