POV you’re at the World Championship Railroad Race with the girlies
Closeup of the action:
Help this is such a cute art style (TwT)<3
Today’s wacky fact: the Bochum production of Starlight Express is older than the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Rusty has single-handedly destroyed fascism
(this is how it went right?)
The meaning of Freight (the Song)
I love the song freight, it's probably my favorite piece from the show.
But one part of the song bothered me for a while. Why are the Coaches singing:
"Nobody complaining, we were late again"
My first thought while was: Isn't that a good thing that there is nobody who could complain? Why are the Coaches stating a positive thing about freight with whom they are arguing with?
What occurred to me recently, the coaches aren't stating that no one can complain because no one is there. No they are stating that Nobody is complaining because unlike freight, passenger trains are on time. That is why they are better then freight.
Anyway that is my two cents
If only Stex bochum sold cool merch
Imagine a 60's - 70's diner aesthetic dinah T-shirt
That would slap
My faveorite piece of merch they have is the Puzzle.
Because, I mean which Musical can say they have a Puzzle exept Starlight Express?
But everything else is just so generic.
(Plus we are still waiting for a new Cast Album (T~T)9)
Cabbage dance
Also one time I was at Stex Bochum and in the middle of the show, a boy just LOUDLY goes "Oh man, FUCK RUSTY, I hope the ICE wins😒🙄"
Like, yes, Ruhrgold propaganda.
VOLTAAA!!!!!!

Another few breathtaking shots from Robert Workman, featuring Michael as C.B and Frances as Dinah.
All three of these photos are from angles never before seen: MASSIVE DAY FOR C.B FANS!!! I do wonder if C.B genuinely cared for Dinah, or if he was just manipulating her?
As with the last post, a huge thanks to both the Bishopsgate Institute and Robert Workman for giving me access to these photos. If you repost these pictures I urge you to credit the photographer— high quality pictures from this era of StEx are practically unheard of, so please do the bare minimum and give him the credits he deserves! Here are some gorgeous, newly uncovered photos of Michael as C.B!!
But more importantly, a massive thanks to the Bishopsgate Institute for giving us access to these pictures and to the wonderful Robert Workman for being gracious enough to let us share these with the world. I was told that I could share these as long as there's credit, so I please ask if you repost these images to add credit if possible. It's a HUGE privilege that we got these pictures, so respect the photographers wishes please!! [ — 🌽 ]
I drew the ICE dining wagon as a Starlight Express character, and I don't even know who the target audience would be
train fun fact
When it's rainy trains use sand to get more traction on their wheels while using their breaks.
You heard of Girlball, now get ready for Greaseboy
Rusty! Who came out really purple for some reason?
What's better than one caboose? Two cabeese!
