Don’t depend too much on anyone in this world because even your own shadow leaves you when you are in darkness.

GUYS, THIS “WITCHCRAFT” TREND IS REALLY DANGEROUS....
You might…start caring about cultures other than your own. And then… really bad & scary things can and will happen like:
improved research skills
self-reliance when it comes to getting information about your own beliefs
very long reading lists
examining your beliefs through different lenses (scary shit, no joke)
wanting to #decolonize shit
learning & caring about cultural appropriation
….learning to meditate or even… be mindful. (sorry I know that one’s distasteful to even mention!!)
all that shit can happen to you even if you just google it out of curiosity but don’t actually practice anything……and the very second you try 1 thing you found bc it resonates with you? You’re swiftly punished with:
rocks in ur pockets (what if you drown!!!)
there are also rocks on your windowsill and on your floor and in your bag and they are going to kill you in your sleep! (Amethysts are murderous!!)
It’s a dark path, guys.
I am a shell of my former self and I can’t stop….learning……..

Worry Stone Enchantment
p u r p o s e - to enchant a specific object with grounding and relaxing energy to provide relief for worrying/negative thoughts/anxiety.
s u p p l i e s
a smooth and small stone
your personal favorite essential oil or perfume
Choose your stone carefully. Smooth stones are best because you want one that you can easily rub with your finger, and you also want to be able to fit it in your pocket. Choose a stone that you feel drawn to and put at ease by.
Sit down in a quiet area with your stone, no distractions.
Feel the stone in your hands for a while. Feel its shape and weight, its curves and surfaces. Do this until the stone feels warm to the touch.
Put a tiny drop of the essential oil on your finger, then smear it on the stone and let it dry or wipe it off before doing step 5.
Close your eyes, and hold the warm stone in your hands and think of things that make you happy. What is your favorite memory? What do you look forward to in the near future? Shoo away any worries or anxieties, and don’t second guess your thoughts, just think them, and let them flow through your body and out your hands into the stone.
Do this for as long as you feel necessary: 1 minute, 10 minutes, an hour; whenever you feel like the stone seems “full”.
Whenever you feel anxious or begin to worry, hold the stone in your hand and run your fingers over it.
d i s c l a i m e r
This enchantment is not a replacement for actual medical treatment! If you feel like you are suffering from a disorder that is disrupting your daily life, please see someone if you are able to.
Some essential oils should be diluted with a carrier oil (olive, vegetable, coconut, etc.) before use or they can irritate your skin. Read the bottle your oil came in for proper dilution instructions. If it makes your stone oily, it’s okay to wipe the oil off afterwards.
Modern Witches
Modern Witches make sigils in Galifreyan and Elvish runes because why the fuck not. Also we’re nerds.
Modern Witches will use old pill bottles to store herbs or moon water.
Modern Witches will use Harry Potter spells because they clearly work.
Modern Witches will call their God edgy when they’re being edgy.
Modern Witches will also Kinkshame their Gods because who gives birth through their forehead or turns into a horse to have intercourse with a magical stallion.
Modern Witches will use emojis to cast spells because magic is everywhere.
Modern Witches will use their Kindle as their ancient grimoire library and their laptop or a binder as their book of shadows.
Modern Witches will make witchy memes because???
Modern Witches will use Dovahzul for spells because if the Dragonborn could break shit by screaming, so can we. Did I mention we’re nerds?
Modern Witches will talk to their crystals bc they’re our only friends.
Modern Witches will also take their craft seriously and be the most inventive people out there.
Modern Witches, mate.
Baby witch with a question
What are your favourite witch-related spaces online? Where’s the best place to look up and learn about witch things and/or the history of witches? Your favourite witches on tumblr?
Whoops. Pressed enter before I meant to. I’ll answer in a reblog now I guess.
My favorite witch spaces online are probably tumblr and the aeclectic tarot forum. Mostly, my community is in person (small but strong) but online definitely tumblr.
I really find it difficult to find any witch info online except for on tumblr (even then it’s hard). However, that may be because I primarily work with spirits outside of divination. Divination is easy to find online. However, if you try to find anything on spirits you’ll predictably get a lot of spooky stories, people telling you not to mess with ouija boards, or unsubstantiated ghost hunting info. Obviously, that’s my personal experience. I’ve had most success on tumblr, and otherwise, via books or experience.
I haven’t really tried much research into witch history, but as long as you’re careful where you look I’d imagine that’s easier to find online than other things. However, I can give no specific recommendations there.
My favorite witches on tumblr: @witchella @breelandwalker @cosmic-witch @witchtips @magic-for-the-masses Finally, specifically for spirit companionship @serapphire and @thedragonslibrary are amazing.
Also, my own extremely organized witch blog is @magickal-milo and this one is my tarot blog. I hope that was helpfulish, feel free to ask me any questions.
Thanks for the @!
Easy Way to Incorporate Tarot Cards into Spells
Choose a card that reflects your intentions best, like increased opportunity for wealth (Ace of Pentacles) or new beginnings (Death).
Place a generator crystal (obelisk) on the center on the card to focus the energy and intentions and project them.
Meditate or use energy work to activate your spell.
You may choose to turn your spell into a crystal grid for added focus and energy, or simply surround it with things that you feel represent your intentions.
*In my personal experience, this has taken me a month to manifest my intentions. It may be different depending on your energy levels and situation.

support the arts. go see a friend’s theatre production, buy a piece of artwork you love if you can afford it, tip a street musician who made you stop walking to admire their skills. the arts are so beautiful and under appreciated. please commemorate people for the hard work they show through artwork. as an artist, it’s so easy to become discouraged, so if you have an opportunity to support an artist, do your best to take it.
