Day6 Reactions to a Breakup (clichรฉ I know)
The relationship ended over something minor that ate the both of you up, although you both never wanted to leave.
Jae was the one to suggest it.
You both haven't actually broken up; you're just on a break from each other.
However, this break hurts him more than you know.
You still talk to each other, and a lot, mainly because you're just taking a break from dating.
Just your slightest corny joke or little habit you do makes Jae regret ever suggesting to take a break because he truly does love you to the end of the universe and back.
However, he's too scared to call off the break and date you again because he's heard so many times that you moved on (even though it's false; you love him more than he loves you).
So when he sees you being touchy with someone, he gets sad. He feels like you truly have moved on from him.
And he gets jealous. He recluses away from you in the hopes that he can get over you.
However, you both end up crying to each other at 3 AM like every other day.
And his love for you eats him alive.
Because he let you go (even though you're stILL ON A BREAK), and he can't seem to forgive himself for that.
Sungjin felt that something was off with you.
You would always shrink away when he hugged you; your eyes were dull and lifeless; you weren't sleeping.
He felt like shit to say the least because no matter what he did, you wouldn't respond. His heart broke in two every time.
The last thing he said to you was goodnight.
Because when he fell asleep, you left.
You completely lost yourself. Everything about you. You realised you didn't love Sungjin anymore, and didn't know how to break it to him.
So you blocked him on everything, wrote a little note saying you'd be back once you cleared your head, and went to your parents' house.
When Sungjin read the note, his heart dropped. He froze by the kitchen counter and broke down.
He loved you so much. Ever since high school.
So he went looking for you, but gave up and went back to the dorms.
When you came back two weeks later, getting let into the dorms broke you once again. You were about to break someone's heart, and you didn't know how you could live with that.
But with a closed-eye sigh, you marched to Sungjin and explained your recent behaviour, and the dreaded words, "I think we should break up."
And although he didn't want to let you go, he did. He didn't want to force you to love him.
And when you finally left the dorms after lending Sungjin your shoulder for him to cry on, Wonpil was right there to comfort him.
His career interfered with your relationship too much.
You didn't see him for months on end, and when you had a date night out, sasaengs and paparazzi were right there behind you, docummenting your every move.
He felt like you didn't deserve any of the treatment these people were giving you, but knew they wouldn't stop if he asked.
He loved you. So much. The love songs he wrote (and the one he dedicated to you, I'll try), and the way your face lit up whenever he showed you a song made his heart melt into a puddle.
He thought you didn't love him anymore due to the months you spent apart and the disrespectful public and fans who wouldn't let you two have a peaceful night out.
However, to you, he meant the world. Sure, you went months without each other, but you knew that that would happen. You knew the fans and paparazzi would interfere with your public outtings together. And you didn't care about that because you were with the man you loved.
However, he called it off.
"I love you so much, I really do, but I don't think I'm giving you what you deserve."
Both of your hearts shattered.
You tried your hardest to reassure him that he wasn't a bad boyfriend.
But he didn't believe it.
You settled on taking a break, but unlike Jae's scenario, you both couldn't be near each other without a tense atmosphere in the air.
Because you both longed to be with the other again. To hold each other and never let go.
Wonpil realised quickly what was wrong with you.
You stopped hugging back. You found yourself hanging out with TWICE more and more.
And one day, you confided in Jeongyeon about how you were feeling lately.
Jeongyeon called over Wonpil so you could explain how you felt.
And when you and Wonpil sat down across from each other, you explaining your feelings, Jeongyeon could feel how much Wonpil was hurting.
"Wonpil, I don't think I know what love is anymore. It's not you. I just... confused my emotions?"
Because while you didn't love him romantically, you knew he was your best friend. And you loved him like that.
You two separated, but still remained good friends.
And now you're bomb best friends.
And while he still loved you for months after it ended, and he falls for you over your quirks and, "flaws," he knows that it's better to lose your relationship than to risk losing you forever.
Dowoon seemed too distant.
You spent a lot of time with him. He taught you how to play the drums and some of Day6's songs.
You two had a young love. Love that was breathtaking and beautiful, but wouldn't last long. Like a flower.
The members soon noticed the lack of interest between the both of you.
And as you two matured more, the relationship grew awkward.
There was just an underlying feeling that something was wrong.
So you two called it off.
The feelings were mutual, but you both hurt.
Because, just like the relationship, it felt wrong to leave each other.
