At my school there was a classroom full of rubber ducks, which sparked my love for the little guys (I have like 10 but I wanna get more). So it became kind of a thing for my family to call me Ducky and say that I was collecting my siblings. So when I made a [tumblr] account I used that nickname! The doesstuff part comes from the fact that I am indeed doing stuff right here on [tumblr]!

My username is boring because I just wanted it to be my favorite character at the times name ✌️ but I do have a backstory for my actual name (lav). So back at the very end (literally the 31st) of 2020, I decided to take new year new me too seriously and renamed all my accounts on everything to lavender_lights. That didn't last for long so I eventually changed all my usernames back to what I had used beforehand. But there were some accounts that I had that I rarely used that I had forgotten to change my name on, and one of these accounts was on cat game (yes the game is quite literally called cat game.😭) Earlier this year I was feeling nostalgic and redownloaded it. I had a lot of fun talking to people in the chats, but then a lot of them started calling me lav instead of lavender and I just liked it so much I've kept it.

I’ve explained it before when someone on my strawpage asked why my name was two in French but i don’t mind explaining again!

So my journey actually begins when I was “two-of-a-kind”

I chose that name because… i actually don’t really know. I think it was because of “one of a kind” and the GHOST and Pals song but idrk okay? Okay.

then i got sick of it.

at the time i was learning French and thought it’d be cool to change my name to that but French.

so that’s when deux was born, as deuxd-unesorte

afterwards, i was feeling inspired by… another moot who had a silly pun name and, alluding to my memory loss and smth idk, i changed it to deuxdat-deuxwat aka “do that, do what?”

It’s from around 2nd grade when me and an old friend were making fake pokemon. We both made dual-flying type pokemon, mine was Flying/Dark. Because I had no idea what to call mine at that moment, I called it Darkeon (though I’ve long since renamed the ‘mon to Moonlyt). Mystic’s a cool word to me so, MysticDarkeon.

I guess I could always change my user to make the renamed ‘mon, but I like what it is now! Also, yeah I had a big pokemon fixation.

Unfortunately just got reminded that The Bee Movie exists, and I hate it.

There’s ONE thing I find funny about it, and it’s the fact that all the girls have beehive hairdos, and all the guys have buzzcuts, buts that’s it!

First of all, why are most of them guys!? Guys don’t do crap in real life beehives aside from mate with the queen, they’re even kicked out in winter!

That one guy (forgot his name), is literally the ONLY sensible person in the whole movie! His girlfriend is dating a bee! He’s also allergic to bees!

Also the whole plot about trying to stop humans from taking honey doesn’t make much sense, because in real life, bees and humans actually have a fairly good relationship in most cases! If a beekeeper takes care of bees well enough, they make more than enough honey!

The bees in the movie aren’t being taken care of by a beekeeper, they’re just out in the park, so why are they worried? People (generally) don’t take honey from wild hives!

In short, bee movie is just so odd

Honestly, I think this was the best possible ending for them. If they HAD escaped the circus (and not been scans), for some of them (especially Kinger and Ragatha) would have to adjust in a world that had changed a LOT. Even for the ones who hadn’t been there that long, they probably would’ve already been declared missing, or have no home to go to.

And they took being brain scans SURPRISINGLY well, I guess it helped that Caine showed them how their real life counterparts were doing. Also, them separating themselves from those counterparts because they’re basically different people now is so cool to me.

Jax had a decent end, and people still visit him! I do feel bad that he stepped on not one, but TWO flash bangs. I wonder if he’s still conscious in there after that, but oh well!

ALSO ALSO, during the scene where they’re looking at their real life counterparts, Caine takes off his hat and holds it to his chest during Jax’s part, which I find really sweet.

I’d like to talk about AI for a second, and before you think this is gonna be one of those “pro ai” posts, it’s NOT. I’m just here to talk about the difference between Generative AI, and the AI used in coding.

Generative AI is Artificial Intelligence that is fed prompts and spits out responses to the best of its ability.

Now, the AI I’m talking about in video games is different. In most, the code runs on “if this happens, that happens”, with responses for different scenarios. Pathing and habits can be swapped between when certain boxes are checked or numbers are hit, making the npc seem almost alive in its actions. This type of artificial intelligence is in basically every game ever.

I know it sounds stupid, but every time I read about or hear someone mistaking this type of AI as being the exact same as Generative AI, it makes me so annoyed because they just aren’t the same.

Just a random thought about gym leaders. Theorems been talk of wanting gym leaders with more of a “themed” team than teams based only on typing.

I made a funny gym leaders guy to fit this (haven’t drawn him yet though)

His name is Bond, and his team is filled with Pokemon that evolve through friendship. He looks like one of those super tough biker dudes who you think is scary, but is actually like the nicest person you’ll ever meet. He totally has a Sylveon named Sprinkles.

Alongside running the gym, he’d have like, a Pokemon playground or something, somewhere for trainers to hang out and have fun with their Pokemon

SO! IDEA! What if Jax put the stargazing adventure into the suggestion box? If I remember correctly, in every other adventure, someone stated that they had made it, EXCEPT THIS ONE. The stargazing adventure was the only adventure where no one said that they had made it.
