how do I express emotions like anger and shame in a healthy manner?
Being human is to be angry. At times we all get angry. So anger is not wrong. It is actually trying to help you, to aide you and to support you. If your angry at someone or a situation, something in you is screaming for you to change something, to move, or to change the person, the situation or to simply remove yourself from it all. It is an older part, an animal part of you that is trying to help you. Honor that. Try to sense that. Express it with honor, exercise, tear something disposable apart, create something, but do it all with honor and respect for those feelings. Find that part of you that this all comes from and hold it in your embrace. Give it your warm soft attention. Allow love to flow to it.
You donât have to be a certain way, if you feel angry, itâs ok, express it with honor and know that there is nothing wrong with that or with having these things come up in you. Zen masters get angry, enlightened people, get angry. Itâs all ok. Nothing is wrong. All is right. Try to simply change your relationship to these things that come up and give them respect, honor and allow them to come through you in a creative way. Dancing, writing, yoga, painting, singing, exercising are all great ways to do this. Whatever comes naturally, is what is best. Explore those feelings and see what comes naturally, see what they want, see how they want to be expressed. Build a relationship to those feelings and see how they want to be treated.

The peace that we are looking for is not peace that crumbles as soon as there is difficulty or chaos. Whether weâre seeking inner peace or global peace or a combination of the two, the way to experience it is to build on the foundation of unconditional openness to all that arises. Peace isnât an experience free of challenges, free of rough and smooth, itâs an experience thatâs expansive enough to include all that arises without feeling threatened.

The sacral chakra resonates with our need for relationships and our need to control or create the dynamics of our physical world. The second chakra shifts from obeying tribal, family authority and allows us to discover satisfying relationships and interests of our own. But if the first chakra is already out of balance with lack of root support from your first tribe, how are you supposed to learn how to form harmonious friendships, relationships and healthy physical interests later in life?
The Second Chakra: How it Impacts Your Relationships and Creativity (via cosmic-club)
The Svadhisthana is the foundation of a healthy ego that allows us to interact with the world without selling ourselves short or pretending to be someone we are not. A person with a strong second chakra can survive financially and physically on his or her own and bond with others to form harmonious friendships. A balanced second chakra has the ability to take risks and have the resilience to recover when things go wrong.

8 signs you have a weak root chakra by chakraboosters on youtube!Â
Hi guys!! So excited for day #1 of the challenge. Today we will start balancing the root chakra! Get ready to get in touch with the earth đ±
A small backstory. Two years ago i started experiencing dizziness. I had no idea what was going on. I went to the doctor & at first they thought I had labyrinthitis but nope, nothing was wrong with me. A year after getting into spirituality I came across the word âungroundedâ. I finally understood what was going on. I spent so much time inside my head daydreaming and worrying that I had completely lost touch with my body and the earth, I think I was out of my body 99% of the time at school. Â
You might be ungrounded if youâre experiencing:Â
Dizziness, light-headiness
DerealizationÂ
Anxiety
Fatigue
ForgetfulnessÂ
Extreme daydreaming
Clumsiness (bumping into objects for example)Â
Lack of focus (canât stay present)
Feeling unsafe
Below are the exercises we will be doing today, tomorrow and on Monday and some tips to ground yourself fully â€ïžÂ Just a little reminder that thereâs no rules or correct way to start or complete the challenge, just enjoy!
If youâre ready, keep readingÂ

The art of forgiving: why is it so important?
Forgiving is an important act of self-love. When we hold grudges, we end up hurting ourselves. Most of us have heard this quote: âHolding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.â Itâs true. Getting angry at people from the past, over & over again itâs hurting ourselves.
When we get mad at a person who was rude years ago, we are getting mad at a memory, at a situation that does not exist anymore. We end up hurting ourselves if we keep repeating the same stories in our head over and over again. One of the best ways to heal the past & ourselves in this present moment is: forgiving.
Forgive them for yourself. Forgive the people who were rude to you, because you care for yourself, because you love yourself & know that that pain does not serve you anymore. Why carry that anger with you anyways?
Itâs ok to get angry, it is normal. However, when we hold to it for weeks, months or years, thatâs when itâs time to let go. When we move on and we stop holding that anger inside our bodies, we start to heal, we become happier. Forgiving is an art.Â
WAYS TO FORGIVE:Â
Writing a letter & burning it: This one is so fun and my favorite way to start forgiving. Grab a piece of paper and pen and start writing a letter to the person who hurt you. Be completely honest about your feelings and the situation. Sadly, we wonât send the letter to the person! So you can write about EVERYTHING that comes in mind when thinking about them. Tell them why they hurt you so much, rant in the letter & finally⊠forgive. The last sentence of your letter can look something like this: âNo matter how much you hurt me, I learnt a lesson, so thank you. I feel now I , after all, can forgive you. Thank you for teaching me âinsert the lesson you learnt here-â.  After reading the letter out loud, itâs time to burn it. Be sure to burn it in a safe receptacle and that the surroundings are safe too. After burning the letter you will feel so good, believe me. I got this amazing idea from this website: (x). I recommend you to read that article too!
Acknowledge that it was not your fault: This one is to forgive yourself. Forgiving yourself is as important. Always remember that âhurt people hurt peopleâ. When I realized that the people who hurt me the most in the past were hurting inside, my whole perspective changed. I realizing that it was never my fault. How they treated me was not because of how I acted or said or dressed, it was because they were hurting a lot inside, it was because of their fears. At the end of the day we are like mirrors. Remember that & repeat that to yourself all the times that you need it to heal.
Be patient: I have said this before but always be patient with yourself. If forgiving them is not easy, then just keep putting the intention out into the world. You already want to forgive them, so you will, not matter how much time it takes.
The first time I wrote my letters (I wrote 4 letters the same day!) and burned them, I felt I had released so much. I felt that pain that I carried was suddenly gone. Forgiving is like putting down a bag full of rocks and deciding that it is not necessary to carry it with you anymore.
Hope this helps â„ & Good luck!
Chakra Frequencies Chart
Each chakra vibrates at a different frequency, from the lowest/deepest/slowest frequency at the root to the highest/fastest at the crown â with each chakra having its own sound, just like it has its own color. Sound is vibration. Music and sound, good or bad, influence us and impact our energy systems. Sound, either as music, musical notes or chanting can be used for chakra balancing â repetition supports bringing the body- mind-soul complex into a meditative state, where healing occurs, and creates a continuous vibrational environment. Visualization with the associated chakra color while using sound can deepen & amplify the experience.
