I think something important to recall is how digestive issues are a major health problem and a disability. They usually come with chronic pain, difficulty absorbing nutrients, major life style changes, diets, difficulty to find places to eat, mental health issues and a risk of developing something else due to the chronic inflammation and low nutrients.
As someone who has IBS, bile reflux, chronic gastritis, has been on treatment for Helicobacter pylori, SIBO, might have food intolerances, and due to this all have struggled with low weight, anxiety, and now muscle and joint pain and tendinitis, I beg you to take people with digestive disabilities seriously.
hi am going to show you a very cheap and very filling meal that you can make in bulk in less than 5 mins. americas government has said "fuck you" to us once again and i dont want anyone going hungry so here is a recipe that i am obsessed with
you can use any kind of oats you like. instant oats, rolled oats, it doesnt matter. you also do not have to use chia seeds but i recommend them because not only does it add to the texture but it makes this meal even more filling.
i did not have chia seeds because i ate them all so just imagine there are chia seeds in here
if all you have is oats, that is perfectly fine it will still taste amazing. but if you can afford it, add anything you like. i really like bananas so i added some banana. you can add a sweetener as well. i added maple syrup. peanut butter is a good option too for added fats that will keep you full longer
now add a liquid. you need enough liquid for the chia and oats to soak up. if dairy is out of your budget, do plain water. but if you have spare tea bags lying around, steep your tea, chill it, then add it to the mixture. i did kefir for mine because it adds a richness and its full of vitamins
now blend it! blend it until its all smooth. no lumps or bumps! you may eat this as soon as youve blended it, but if you do, you wont get the absolutely amazing texture if you wait 30+ minutes
it is just.... utterly divine. its blended overnight oats. thats the recipe. but oh my god. it's better than any overnight oats youve ever had in your entire life. its like a decadent dessert. i cant get enough of it!! and its SO. FILLING.

I'm actually so tired of there being just more problems whenever something flares up. It's like I can't have one problem... and it just is that my body has to keep adding on and adding on and adding on.
I’ve never been more embarrassed to ask for help but I really need to right now.
The last few weeks have been exhausting. I’ve been fighting every day to get my Long Term Disability claim reinstated after it was closed incorrectly because a third party company wasn’t filing HIPAA paperwork properly to access my medical records. After countless calls and follow ups with the hospital and multiple vendors, I think everything has finally been sent for review. But now I’m told that could take up to another week before I’m approved and reinstated.
Normally, I receive payment on the 26th of each month and schedule all of my bills accordingly. Because of this delay, I haven’t been able to pay anything correctly, and my account is currently negative $206. My bills still process whether there’s money or not and I’m at the point where I’ve run out of options as my friends and family have already helped me cover my larger expenses this month.
If anyone has the ability to help me bridge the gap until my payment comes through, I would be endlessly grateful. I hate having to make this post but I’m truly at the end of what I can do on my own right now.
