headcanon that after Jinx dies/disappears, Ekko is unable to sleep and on the rare occasion he does fall asleep, he’s plagued by nightmares of Jinx dying and failing to save the world, and it’s not doing good things to his mental health, so he starts taking sleeping pills. the sleeping pills work a little too well, and Ekko has to fight the urge to fall into addiction because when he takes the sleeping pills it relaxes him and he dreams about Jinx and it feels like seeing her again and he doesn’t want to leave her

Imagine the things they got up to and the catch-up before jumping headfirst into war. The amount of things they've probably wanted to show each other growing up but not being able to- jinx's scuttlebug collection, weird magical books ekko found in some old ruin, precious ores they could use for invention.
