it feels like so manyfics/posts about seo moonjo & yoon jongwoo are focused on the two of them becoming a couple, saying i love you, being 'murder husbands' or just generally liking each other etc... but the real appeal of the dynamic and why it's actually entertaining to watch is that it is not at all "romantic" at all and they are not good for one another at all, in fact i think the jongwoo's confusion and distrust & monjoo's malice are what shape the dynamic as a whole?
you can't seriously think for example that moonjo would ever actually say i love you in a fluffy romantic way to jongwoo or that the two of them had a single instance where the two of them were just sunshine and rainbows together. Moonjo saw that man as a mission & a project and jongwoo didn't see moonjo as much as he was being forced to self reflect & question his own sanity until he stopped trusting his own idea of reality why are there so few pieces of fanmade media that truly build on the dynamic that was in the show why does it always just end in "ohh jongwoo has the hots for moonjo & moonjo worships jongwoo and they both get away with murder & jongwoo wants to smash someones head all the time" i think my standards are too specific and ill never be happy
