From Death
Funerals are lonely,
I mean in a sense death is lonely for mortals I guess, but funerals are extremely lonely.
I have been to my fair share of funerals and all are the same, even in a crowd no one is speaking of the thing that terrifies them.
I am near.
Everyone talks about the departed and how much they would have loved the service, but honestly, in my opinion they don’t usually care.
Usually they watch their loved ones and say their final goodbyes then I walk with the departed tell they get where they need to be.
Those who fear me avoid funerals, thinking that they are avoiding me.
But here’s the truth.
I am always near.
I am in every car in every home on every street.
I am unavoidable.
But I am also kind, quite, and gentle and I always come when needed.
So dear humans, do not despair, for you shall only meet me when your time comes
Signed
Death
