// Iâm still kind of workshopping how I want to write Lucifer, but Iâm considering moving at least Thalia to my main blog and making it a multimuse. The primary character would still be my OC that currently resides on that blog so I get if folks arenât interested, but I want to kind of get a poll here. Thoughts?
Literally just romanticize your own life. Whatâs stopping you. Who will care. Commit to enjoying things.Â
// Thalia, as both a performer and a hedonist, occasionally enjoys both purchasing the services of sex workers, and offering them herself. She has been on both sides of that sort of transaction and she always tries to ensure the pleasure is not one-sided. She likes to leave large tips and has been known to pick favorites.
// Honestly I never thought about this before but the whole concept of knowledge that you should not seek is in keeping with blind nationalism. Cultures that are foreign to you are the Other and therefore dangerous, and thereâs no point in seeking to understand them. The point at which you have understood someone who is Them and not Us opens you up to empathy aka contamination and sin.
// Lu knows all languages and can speak them all fluently, but in all of them and in all locations he has an accent that defies identification. After all, he represents the fear and the promise of the unknown, so he is always a foreigner.

// Okay so I love how in Genesis, god is just like âobey!â and the closest he comes to a reason not to eat fruit is a threat, and all the snake did was ask a question and point out the truth. A) that it wasnât gonna kill them, and b) that eating it would give you knowledge. And Eve was all âheck yeah bitch teenage rebellion woooo!â

âPsychic shock, Thalia. Happens to the best of us.â
For a moment he was reminded of when heâd first entered the Divergent universeâ the razor-sharp shock of having his time sense ripped away as he crossed over into a world where it no longer applied. Heâd explained it to Charley as something not unlike being blinded; sheâd done her best to comfort him, of course, but she couldnât understand. Not fully.
This was different - not quite so extreme, for one - but the disconcerting feeling of having oneâs perception of the universe turned on its head was no doubt similar.
âTake my hand, come onâ just focus on me, for the moment,â he instructed, taking one of her shaking hands in his and ducking a little so he was properly in her field of vision. âThe universe hasnât gone anywhere, youâre justâŠ. looking at it from a very different angle, now.âÂ
âYes, right, angles!â As he took her hand her grip tightened. She clung, slowly letting herself settle back into what could arguably be called the present. âIâm... Iâm good at angles! Geometry, right, geometry is... kinda my thing.â
His face was something for the wild gaze to focus on. The awkward smile of the lost broke across her face. How silly of me, must have made a wrong turn somewhere... Help? Help?
âCan you give me the math? Or... or explain where we are, somehow? Cuz... donât get me wrong this is gonna sound real kinky... I feel like weâre in the universeâs butthole.â
// Okay but I love the idea of linking demonic deal-making with biblical covenant-making and I just need a good hecking reason why either the devil or a god would be interested in a thing
// Hot diggity

âYou came to the right place, beautifulâ provided you got the credits.â
Jai cradled his glass in one long-fingered hand as he turned, leaning one elbow against the bar. The woman on the barstool beside him wasâŠ.. well, that was a rarity. Someone he couldnât read.Â
But she looked humanâŠâŠâŠ. then again, a contrarian little voice at the back of his head pointed out, so did he. Wellâ mostly.Â
âAnd if you donâtâŠâ He shrugged, lifting his glass to clink it against hers. âWell, the nightâs young, I got some time on my hands. Wouldnât mind sharinâ a drink or three anyway.â
âOh-ho, I got credits, hon. I just got done with a wildly successful performance--â she tipped her head back as she tossed her curls dramatically, eyes dancing with good humor, â--and I am here to ce-le-brate!â Her curls were, admittedly, too short to really throw around, but she was having fun anyway.
She reached out to pat his arm affectionately before taking another swallow of her drink, making a brief face at the bitterness. âMm-- Iâll share that drink though. If youâve got the time, and Iâve got the time, letâs party it up! Heck, Iâll buy you your next one if ya give me your name. Or any name, whatever man.â
crew-from-capuletâ:
âI gave you a name at any rate, isnât it rude not to do the same, Mr. Story-Keeper?â he asked, his tone shifting to mimic that of his strange table-mate, detached but curious. His jaw tightened a bit at the mention of his lineage.
âDid I not say?â Perhaps not. Or perhaps the other had missed it, or forgotten. As nervous as he had made him, it would not be impossible.
âLu. If you like. I can wear another name, but that one suits. Donât you think?â
crew-from-capuletâ:
He looked over at him with a hum. âIâm an interesting guy, but what kind of interest do you have?â he asked. âWhatâs your name?â
âIf I tell you mine will you tell me yours?â he mused idly. Heâd never brought it to his lips, but the glass he held was perhaps somewhat less full than it had been when Artimus sat down. âI just like to know about people. Iâm a story keeper. Among many many other things. Besides... most people are all human.â
crew-from-capuletâ:
Knew he was lying. Definitely something otherworldly. Fey? Demon? The joke seemed to lean towards the latter. âI do go by Ace,â he stated. That was the truth. It was one of his aliases. He pointedly didnât answer if the other made him nervous or not.
âAh. My apologies. I donât mean to come off as hostile. I meant what I said, about company.â The head settled back on his hand as he nodded amicably at Artimus. âIâm just an observer. A passer-by, if you will: no ill intent. You interest me, Ace.â
