Well it's been over 2 months since my last post when I vowed to blog weekly - I will renew that vow and start again. My QLC (quarter life crisis) is in full swing at the moment. I am in total preparation for next year! Thinking of volunteering in Bali/traveling around Indonesia /back to europe/ and a massive road trip around the states! Anyway back to what I have accomplished so far:
In order that I have listed them on my previous post:
#1 Ride a camel - I rode a camel in the dessert of Dubai. In which I almost fell off and died without any dignity whatsoever, thankfully I managed to save my self (thanks to my sturdy thighs and a tight grasp on the handle bar) from flying head first off the camel, I might add it wasn't a very gracious save but it was a save non the less. I would like to completely and utterly blame the heat for this blunder as it was quite unbearably hot and I was rather sick at the time.
#2 Travel - well this was the most stupid bullet point I could have made at the time. Why the hell did I list so many places in one dumb bullet point! I recently just came back from a trip around Europe so the parts that I can cross off include Greece, Italy Dubai and France. All of which have numerous stories within themselves which I should have blogged about weekly but failed to do so.
#7 Ride a scooter - now I didn't ride a scooter as such but I did ride on the back of a quad back in Greece, does that still count? I guess I can make the rules up and say yes. Although we did have some difficulty figuring out which side of the road we were meant to drive on and the lady at the gas station wasn't much help when we asked her what side either. Clearly she thought we were joking since we had managed (only just) to get to the gas station without dying. Non the less we just took it on a case by case scenario. Which ever side the car coming from the opposite direction we would just move to the other side.
#18 Conquer fear of rollercoasters - while on our tour going through Europe we stayed at a campsite in French Rivera (absolutely gorgeous place) and this campsite was right next to a carnival and in the carnival was a huge ( I classify as huge - the others in the group didn't quite classify it as a stage 1) rollercoaster. Now, I'm not going to say that I quite conquered my fear of rollercoaster as I screamed incessantly throughout the entire duration of the ride but I did ride the whole thing. Which I think is really the main point of this bullet point. No more rollercoasters for me!!
#24 Have my fifteen minutes of fame - this one I dont really know if it's my 15 minutes of fame but if nothing else makes me famous for 15 minutes before I turn 25 I will be quite happy with this one! It all starts after we had finished our ride on the rollercoaster - group of four of us that went on. I can just tell as I type out this story right now that it is sounding lamer by the second. Anyway. Us four met some others from the group and we were all on such a high (myself especially) from riding this stage 1 rollercoaster. So I asked the other members of the group to take our photo of the four famous musketeers who rode the stage 1. While in the process of getting our photo I said lets do a crazy photo and I struck the peace signs symbol with both hands. Looking like an utter dork who thinks that thats a crazy photo pose and sounding as dorky as this story. ANYWAY after laughing with me at the dorkyness of this pose it eventually got around to the rest of the group 30+ people and every time we took a photo we did a 'crazy' photo.
Now in before the end of September I want to cross at least another 2 items off my list!
I thinking maybe #3 Rain dance boho style before it gets to summer time and #10 Start cooking through a cook book as this may take some time!! Also I need to continue on with #11 which is start a blog. I need to post in this thing at least once a fortnight! Wish me luck!
