Have you seen the new animated Levitating video? Sooooo many vintage anime references, I couldn't count them all!

Thanks for the rec! I checked it out and loved it! Sailor Moon is obv the biggest influence, but on the 80s side I see Creamy Mami, Dirty Pair, Urusei Yatsura and City Hunter. A lot of the time when people try to emulate the "old anime" look it's just modern style with a shitty filter slapped on, so I appreciate the real attention to detail and Akemi Takada-inspired character design.
