Why are you trying to get away?
Otome Isekai is definitely much, much more interesting when it is a showdown between two isekaied characters, than just a story of a single one. It adds this flavor of drama that Hamefura, Omnipotent Saint and Beware of the Villainess (webtoon comic, no anime) didn’t have, and I find it interesting. I don’t know if there is more Otome Isekais that go with this idea, as I just found a list of manga and manhwa with only otome isekais, that I need to go through, but as far as Otome Anime are concerned, it is the first time when we have two reincarnated heroines that assume roles of villainess and heroine respectively. Hamefura had something akin to that in Sophia, but Sophia had no memories of her previous life as Catarina’s best friend, so it doesn’t count, but even if, she would be a support character, rather than someone who shapes the game world to her liking.
BTW the innocent face with which Lilia says “They’re just characters in a game” is even more unsettling than if she did the same with a crazy yandere smile instead. She technically isn’t wrong. They are just characters, but the moment you get reincarnated or transported to another world that so happens to be the world of the game you played in your previous life, the whole game world is skewed into adhering to real life logic more than game mechanics, fulfilling all the holes that one dimensional game characters had with real people’s memories, experiences and feelings. Which means that the moment they were both reincarnated, this world and its people became real.
So yeah, she isn’t wrong, but it is a very privileged position from which she is speaking there, simply because she knows the character she is playing as won’t get killed. She’d not be so callous otherwise.
They are all so hopelessly struck with the cupid arrow xD
And all of them had a moment of gay panic right there.
How about a kiss as punishment?
Claude Jeanne Elmir “King Claude” (クロード・ジャンヌ・エルメイア) - Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita - Episode 9
My beloved Aileen, what were you doing behind my back this time ?
When they start to get too close…
Hello? Police? This is it, this is the man who is trying to kill me
(ꈍ ˘ ꈍ)
all she wanted was to save him, she did that and got to see his birthday suit. this girl is a winner
They’re surprisingly vicious xD
some fav moments of Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita ep. 2:
1. aileen putting 110% effort (a true role-model)
2. claude keeping aileen dry
3. aileen wanting to beat claude’s beauty
4. belzebuth wanting to support his king
5. aileen and claude acting like a married couple dealing with kids (aka almond)
overall, a very wholesome episode
+bonus
(i will kneel for you any day queen)
Aileen has been a pleasure so far.
