i think "turning into a pumpkin" is my new favorite way to articulate the state of things when I am at a function and very overstimulated and it feels like my brain is melting. it's like no i can't be a person anymore i have to leave i'm turning into the pumpkin. the time is up yeah i gotta go. yeah see u later. pumpkin time.
SHAWN HATOSY as SAMMY BRYANT Southland S05E05 "Off Duty"
The roy family finds an evil baby
Roman: So do we just, fucking, bash it's head in, or?
Shiv: It isn't our problem, right? We just leave it. Hands clean.
Kendall: Very, uh, maternal, Shiv. Leave the baby.
Connor: There are a lot of uses for an evil baby. I'm not saying that's what we should do, but....
Kendall: Roman's right. We kill it, or we get someone to kill it.
Shiv: So what, you just get to be the hero who saves the world from an evil baby?
Greg: I'm worried, uh, if we find a guy to kill the baby? He must be a pretty evil guy. So he might use the baby for evil. But I'm not saying I should kill the baby? Because I don't really want those images like, in my head whenever I see another baby?
"It would have been easier if you'd just said yes."

That was the most gentle, grumpy slap, like he really doesn't want to hurt it 😆 definitely NOT giving me any thoughts....
Can I also say I'm obsessed with his hair this episode? The little swoop 😍 his barber probably tried something new and now it's driving him nuts, meanwhile I'm over here just drooling 😏
QUICK PSA:
If you see an "interactive" fanfic from the site @glimmerfics , please know that it is a site that uses GenerativeAI to power their "stories".
They're currently mass posting fics across a wide range of fandoms WITHOUT tagging it appropriately as AI generated interactive content.
If you're uncomfortable with AI, you should avoid using it.
Some other info you should consider before using them:
They have a blurb on their site about buying carbon offsets to "make up" for their environmental impact. Carbon Offsets Do Not Work and are a form of corporate greenwashing.
They are, essentially, selling fanworks. This is the biggest no-no in the "transformative works" space. There's a reason everyone says "don't sell your fanfics."
Most tellingly, they don't provide any information on what their LLM was trained on. Which means it was probably trained on you and me and every other fanfic writer on the planet.
Please do not give them your money.
next person to "uwu but i'm just a girl!" something in front of me is getting cunt punted i am so sick of that shit you're not a "🤪✨🌈girl🌈✨🤪", JESSICA.

happy indepenis day.
I don't know how to articulate this well, but I really fucking hate the way a lot of thin writers write fat characters. Like how men write women "breasting boobily" there is something so dehumanizing about how fat characters are often written. "He waddled", "he lumbered", the writer of the book I'm reading always mentions this characters "fleshy hand" when he does something with his hand. Like, we already know that he's fat. There is no need to describe everything he does as "doing it fatly".
