Hey, a bunch of the Lackadaisy gang will be at MomoCon in Atlanta this coming weekend, May 21st-24th! (I will be there from Friday through Sunday). If you happy to be there too, come by and say hello!
Recently @fablepaint and I had the honor and pleasure of talking to Taylor Ramos and Tony Zhou (Every Frame a Painting, Voir) about the adventure of adapting Lackadaisy for animation.
They are creators themselves, wonderfully analytical about filmmaking, and great interviewers! If you're a cinephile and you haven't watched the video essays on Every Frame a Painting (YouTube), I highly recommend it!
Hey I know this isn't a question but I just wanted to say congratulations on your hard work. Your pilot turned out gorgeous and now your episodes will be increased. I know it doesn't mean much but congratulations to everyone who worked on Lackadaisy, I'm so proud ♥️♥️♥️
On the contrary, it means quite a lot! Thank you!!
The Lackadaisy Mixer book!
...Just dropped in the Lackadaisy Shop! This is the culmination of a years-long passion project of research, recipe concocting, and photography by Nerlyn "Tomb" Galan. It grew into such a big and masterfully done collection of work, we decided to make a book out of it! It's full of character-themed cocktail and dessert recipes, 1920s history, lore, and absolutely luscious photos by Tomb herself.
There are illustrations throughout by me and numerous contributing artists, including Salem Pullen who did the back cover art.
The cat is out of the bag! I worked real hard to make this and the art by Tracy and the other artists within its pages is some of my absolute favorites.
It was an honor to work on this, and I really hope that others enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.
Thank you again to Tracy, Fable, and the rest of the team that has such belief in me and made this possible. I am no where without you and your inspiration.
So, this has been brewing for a while, but I can finally say that...
Lackadaisy is now a GLITCH Production!
For details, catch the official GLITCH Direct announcement video here!
In summary, this means Lackadaisy has more budget and vastly more production support than before; and that Season One will be bigger and better than we thought possible! And coinciding with the news, we've released a little animated sneak peak of Season One, featuring original music "Last Call"
See the full video with music here!
-------------- We've also put a little FAQ here to address questions folks might have about what's changing and what's not. Lastly, thanks for watching, and for bearing with us, and thank you for the support. It has made all the difference in making this possible!

Lackadaisy making me wanna practice animating more :3
I love how this turned out despite Ibis Paint shitting on the quality 🙃
Lackadaisy Volumes 1 & 2 have been nominated for an Eisner Award in the Graphic Album Reprint category!
Many thanks to Iron Circus Comics and print tech Hye Mardikian for working to make these books as beautiful as they could be!
The past few days have been nothing short of epic. I was kidnapped by ygor, deafeated dracula and was friends with the monster, saw nightlight baby dragons, soared throught berk, beat bowser and earned coins, escaped the ministry, rode on comets and danced around in the stars.
This place is everything I hoped it would be for years and I was certainly emotional at several points. I can’t wait to go back
So I’m going through all my socials making a reintroduction post. Just to get active in them again.
Hello I am N.Gravewriter, but I usually go by N.Tombscribbler/Tomb. I am engaged, we have 4 cats and a snake. I am a Mod over in Lackacord and I assisted with Spanish translations,
I am not a traditional artist and My art is mostly my baking, cooking, and mixology. I have been working on a passion project for the last few years that I can’t wait to share with you all soon. Those that know, know 😉
I also do ttrpgs, photography, costuming, cross stitching, and I am a theme park enthusiast. I may share stuff like this here. I am also happy to answer questions on any of the above topics lol.
Really ratcheting up the drama in the next installment of Lackadaisy! Rough animation here by the amazing Sam Kessler (who seems to have also written a cucumber into the script). --------------- - Find Lackadaisy on YouTube! - Find extra Lackadaisy stuff on Patreon!
I’ve been meaning to make art for this show for SO LONG
Saw a talk put on by Tracy Butler and Fable Siegel and it was like my love came back full force
Alcohol tips for newbie writers (or non drinkers!):
At bars, people who order “chasers” after their shots are ordering something to wash down the taste of their shot with. This can be juice, soda, more alcohol, or even pickle juice
Hard liquor is generally sold in stores as shots (tiny bottles), fifths, liters, and handles or in ml (50, 100, 200 etc)
Most people can’t finish an entire fifth of hard liquor (vodka, etc) on their own without being very ill
Conversely, many people can finish an entire bottle of wine on their own without being ill
Liquor can be “bottom shelf” or “rail” or “well” – all synonyms for the cheapest version of alcohol a bartender has. Bars generally keep several “levels” of alcohol stocked
You order a drink with the alcohol first, then the mix – e.g., a “vodka soda” or a “Tito’s and tonic”
When you “close out a tab”, you pay for all of the drinks you’ve had that night. Either the bartender already has your card (you “opened a tab” earlier) or it was quiet enough that they just kept an eye on you and tallied your bill up at the end
“Doubles” are drinks or shots with double the standard pour of alcohol
In the US, most shots (pours) are 1.5 oz by default.
Mixed drinks (gin and tonic, vodka lemonade, cosmos, etc) are generally made up of 1-2 shots and a mixer
If you don’t specify which type of alcohol you’d like in a mixed drink (vodka cranberry, for example) the bartender will put whatever the “house” liquor is – and this depends entirely on the establishment. A dive bar will pour rail by default, whereas a nicer tavern might make all vodka cranberries with Tito’s
PLEASE TIP YOUR BARTENDERS THEY WILL REMEMBER YOU I PROMISE
