I'll be honest with y'all, stitching Chloe back into the plot by going "Max actually saw her in the storm, immediately switched focus onto her over Safi's bleeding corpse, and instinctively fucked with the timelines even harder to bring her/an entire fucking town back to life because she wanted Chloe to exist that badly/still felt chronically guilty over causing Chloe anguish - and then she forgot all about it" is painting a delightfully unhinged picture of Max and happily for me this is EXACTLY the way I saw her from LiS1

Like that's several layers of fucked up, starting with poor Safi (the way she calls her out for that in Reunion, oof) and ending with basically playing God with resurrections. I mean it's especially glorious in Bae. Sure, let's pull a whole ass town from another timeline and fuck over all their memories as well. JUST BECAUSE YOUR PRECIOUS EX IS SAD. That's how many deaths casually reversed?? And like the reason wasn't even "Oh I could undo the horror weighing down on me" or some such. Chloe. Seemed. Sad.

Thaaaat's my girl who stole a car and marched into a fucking tornado while quite possibly delirious on a whole mess of timelines, drugs, no sleep and the whole trauma of the Dark Room and almost dying, but never even stopped to breathe 'cause she needed a photo to get Chloe back. Theeeere she is.
