Instead of making graphics, could the blog be turned into text posts? Then it could just be done by copy-pasting submissions into a new post. Low-maintenance but still anonymous.

honestly, modbutt central has been a hive of offline activity for a long time (both good and bad), and they appreciate your concern! unfortunately, modbutt just doesn’t have the spoons to continue running this at the moment – between their two jobs and health problems, there’s just no time!unfortunately, however, modbutt doesn’t know what happened to the people who volunteered to help. they all still have permissions to run this blog, should they so desire, but no one has contacted modbutt in a very, very long time.in all honesty, this blog has two problems:1. submission lulls. modbutt has had to submit several messages themselves to queue up because people didn’t send anything in!2. the graphics take a while to do, especially when submitters don’t follow the submission guidelines. plus, it is hard to keep everything anonymous without the graphics, and due to the amount of negative blowback modbutt has received for starting this blog, as well as the amount of negative blowback received by some of the people that have been praised by submitters to this blog, they feel it is ultimately safer for all submitters if they remain anonymous.

so, with modbutt’s time constraints it is difficult to strike a balance; it would be simpler if they could just click the ‘post’ button on the submissions, but as mentioned that wouldn’t be safe.

if anyone has some low-maintenance ideas for modbutt, they would be happy to revive this blog again.

Happy N7 Day!

Modbutt is dusting off the control station as we speak in preparation for Andromeda. They apologise for the radio silence but it has been a trying time. The dust has settled for the most part. Hence why they are dusting. N7P wants to remain spoiler free! So while we will definitely accept Andromeda themed submissions, please keep them as spoiler free as possible! [ Commander Shepard is my inspiration and my heart. She allowed me to be brave.]

[ ME has changed how I think about my life. I loved how human all the characters were to me. I was lost in who I was and Shepard showed me we all have a place in this world. But to tell my favorite moment. Tali in ME2 lost her dad during a mission. She cries. To hear her cry I cried with her. It was close to home with me I understood her pain. My dad isn’t dead but we don’t see each other. I loved my dad a lot. That is why I love this series. The humanity of the characters are relateable.]

[One of the things that irrevocably changed me while playing Mass Effect was ME2 Overlord project. To see how far science without the boundaries of conscience can go, to see a helpless innocent suffer for someone else’s ‘progress’, suffer without understanding… That cut me deep and reminded me why I wanted to be a scientist in the first place.It also made me vehemently adverse to the synthesis ending]

Hello N7 Lovelies

Health update from modbutt: modbutt will be having a heart procedure next week. It is nothing serious but it is a little scary for modbutt, even though they’ll be going home the same day.

During next week modbutt will be unavailable, but if any ME: Andromeda news comes out they will post as soon as possible.

goodness gracious! has it been five months since modbutt’s last update? modbutt apologises. things have been incredibly hectic in a number of ways and this blog just sort of fell through the cracks.

let’s see… this was the last update from modbutt, so they’ll pick up where that left off.

the good news: school went incredibly well. modbutt is on their second term, and the first term ended with three As and a (very hard-earned) B. modbutt central is a happy place too. good holidays, good food, nice cards and presents, and a much needed two-week winter break puts modbutt in a good place mentally. modbutt also celebrated their 6th anniversary with their partner and now wears a shiny rock on one of their appendages (:

and the health update / bad news: the doctor modbutt spoke off turned out to be not as open-minded as they originally seemed. but we did find out that whatever is going on was not related to that doctor’s specialty, so off modbutt went back to their primary doctor. one thing modbutt learned – to their surprise, but not to the surprise of their parents – was that they have scoliosis. xrays will commence this week to determine the severity of it. it is assumed that this counts for a portion of the issues modbutt has been having.

the main issue, however, is still elusive. many illnesses have been eliminated, and now talks of autoimmune disorders and neurological conditions have begun and the appropriate tests commenced. whatever it might be, it is very likely that it will be something chronic / lifelong. as it is, it is all modbutt can do to summon the energy and physical strength to take care of daily tasks and school work. sometimes it’s not possible, in which case modbutt has been watching a lot of murder she wrote and that one game with the shouting dragons.

so that’s what’s happened these last five months since the last update! modbutt is so sorry that they haven’t been able to keep up with this blog, but promises to make sure this blog is taken care of – whether by them, or by helpers – by the time mass effect: andromeda is released.
