Hour ago I read a post and the comments were so insanely stupid that it (along with other posts) convinced me that this site is not worth looking at. This is legit the most only-one-opinion-allowed place I have ever seen except for Reddit but at least they are self aware about it.

I've joined Tumblr before I used much other social media but now that I do, I see they are all better.

I will be leaving Tumblr for some time and I will start using Twitter or how is it called nowadays. Not even Elon will stop me from using Twitter. I heard folks on Twitter argue a lot and that by definition means that there are at least 2 types of people which is better than here. There's no discussion here. Zero. Just vague statements with lots of emotion. No empirical evidence. People here will say shit like "today's landlords are worse than dictators from history". Imbeciles everywhere. Clearly none of you got your hand cut off by a monarch who just felt like it. When someone says there's more nuance than "gays good rich tech bros bad" everyone starts hating on them until they stop trying. It's horrible here and today I rage quit.

I'll not delete this account because I may return maybe.

there's something oddly beautiful to me about their method of gathering food. just floating there with these incredibly painful danger noodles hanging below. and it's a siphonophore so it's like... an apartment building of people that's also one creature all peacefully waiting for the currents to take them to food. it's beautiful and so so so cool and i love them 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

When I was a kid I had a book about animals and there was a whole page photo of this thing and I used to be incredibly scared of it to the point where I refused to touch that book and since then I have a lifelong phobia of long squiggly disorganized biology like exposed roots, seaweed, cobwebs, etc.

That the Sisters found the devil a safer bedfellow says more about men than it does about the Sisters. And as the soil grows their bodies anew, Midsommar after Midsommar, don’t be surprised if Mother Earth is taking notes. After all, who has a world of men hurt more than she?”

I hate hate HATE all those 2edgy 4me theories about kids shows. Like Angelica dreaming up the rugrats, or the ed, edd, and eddy children being ghosts, or literally anything that takes a lighthearted and fun kids show and has to turn it into some tragic take of rape or murder or misinformed mental illness. So you know what? From now on I’m gonna do the exact opposite. Every cool grim-dark show is now because of a bunch of children.
