I’m soooo sorry Kishi ruined your characters as he did. Naruto, I’m so sorry you never got to tell Sakura your feelings and how much you cared about her. I’m so sorry that Kishi made you give up Naruto and settle for the easy path. I’m so sorry that Kishi made you a neglectful father even though you, the one who was neglected the most, would never neglect your own children.

Sakura, I’m so sorry that Kishi made you forgive Sasuke for everything he ever did to you. All the horrible treatment and abuse. I’m sorry that Kishi felt it more important at the end of this manga forever, to show you cleaning up the house rather than saving lives and being a boss in an advanced medical facility. Or standing by Naruto’s side, giving him just as relevant advice as Shikamaru. 

I’m sorry that you two can’t be what you could have been. Caring parents, loving parents. A duo of partners, friendship and love that went through a lot together trying to save your friend and grew closer in the process. A relationship that was second to Naruto and Sasuke’s bond in this manga, reduced to nothing.

I’m sorry to Minato, Kushina, Jiraiya, Obito, and everyone else whose stories seem irrelevant now. While Naruto became Hokage and fixed some of the world, all of the domestic problems, the domestic problems that eventually lead to the entire plot of Naruto, continues on stronger than ever.

I’m sorry to the rest of the Konoha rookies who Kishi forced into a “pair the spares” situation where you all had babies at the same time with random people for the sake of a spin off. I will always love your characters, but it’s officially done for me.

Kishi killed you all, all your development, and all you stood for. I don’t know how anyone can be content with how Naruto ended, but I digress. I will never read the last chapters, because I do not want Naruto, Sakura, Jiraiya, Kushina, Minato, or Kakashi, all my favorite characters, to go to waste. So, Goodbye, Naruto. Forever.

It’s been a good run but Naruto ended at chapter 698 for me.

This isn’t denial. This isn’t me being a hater or someone who can’t “accept” what’s happened.

This is total disappointment. Just plain, flat out disappointment that I have wasted years of my life, watching these characters grow and live their lives and go through hardship, and then having at it all be wasted for some petty underdeveloped romance between characters who barely know each other.

I hope that you enjoy your money and fame that you’ve gotten, Kishimoto. Congratulations.
