First of all, she’s a war goddess. And she has some nice skills with her many shinki, and even cares for all of them.

She joins the military to protect the man she loves, but she never makes a big deal out of it. She just quietly goes about, obeying him and caring for him when he forgets that water is bad for fire. She also endured her father inscribing his flame alchemy research onto her back.

She’s a woman of action, as well as a viceroy and a royal princess. Plus, she’s a kickass pilot, leading her troops into battle and inspiring their loyalty.
4. Mikasa: Attack on Titan
She has the deadpan badass thing going on. She also has the skills and fearlessness to back it up, besides being ridiculously ripped.
5. Ryuko: Kill la Kill
Ryuko always has a smirk on her face, unless she’s questioning someone about her father’s death. She pairs with Senketsu to fight evil, and is pretty badass as she saves the world.
6. Akari: Chaika Coffin Princess
Trained since she was a child, Akari is a deadly fighter, and also a strict sister when her lazy brother tries to find a purpose in life. She staunchly follows where he leads, using her badass skills as they go.

She’s a sword mage, with a seemingly endless supply of swords and armor. She also has all the men in the guild intimidated. The only reason she’s not higher up on the list is her love of wedding dresses. Hilarious, but not badass.

Known as Asuna the Flash, and for good reason. This fiery girl is a leader of a guild on the front lines of SAO. She also goes through a good amount of character development, learning to be badass IRL, too.
10. Sinon: Sword Art Online
Another skilled warrior, she’s unmatched as a sniper in GGO. She also conquers her fears of guns IRL, despite her tough past.
