A: Wasn’t it more beautiful this time of the year last fall?

B: I don’t know, they look kind of the same to me. 

A: May be I’m starting to take things for granted. 

B: What does that have anything to do with the beauty of this place?

A: You know, when you get really close to things like your pets, places, or certain people, you get used to their presence and then you fail to realize how pretty and valuable they are.

B: Don’t get started with the melancholy, pal. 

A: What I’m trying to say is that this place with its trees, roads, canals and all.. they have become such a regular view. They’ve become very common. Not like last year when we saw it for the first time. Everything looked like a fairy tale setting.

It’s just like a good joke that’s lost its charm for being told over and over again. You appreciate them less and less. 

B: You make it sound dramatic. But I think you have a point there. 

A: Yeah, we should enjoy it and make the best out of it while it lasts.

B: True. Let’s go. It’s almost sunset.
