A video found on the mobile phone of a paramedic whose body was discovered in a mass grave containing the remains of 15 aid workers killed by Israeli army fire in Gaza on March 23- shows that the ambulances and fire trucks they were using clearly marked and had their emergency lights on when they were fired upon by Israeli forces.

This revelation comes after the Israeli military claimed earlier this week that its forces did not randomly target ambulances, asserting that some vehicle "were identified approaching suspiciously without lights or emergency signals towards the soldiers," who then opened fire in response.

The video was obtained from a senior United Nations diplomat who requested anonymity. The New York Times verified the location and date on the footage.
