The last thing in pretty much the entire world that Isaiah was expecting was for his girlfriend to be standing in his shop. They had months to go still on this long distance thing they were doing while she finished her internship, so to say he was surprised was a pretty big understatement. Despite loosening the grip of his arms around her, he wasn’t exactly planning on letting her go with any rush, so his arms remained circled around her middle. He couldn’t help the repeated laugh of ‘shut the fuck up’ at Nadia’s immediate answer and the casual shrug of her shoulders. Getting the real answer, paired with the fact that she was around for a little while and not just making a casual drive-by surprise, Isaiah’s brows lifted, wide grin still very present. “What the fuck is wrong with you? Evil mastermind–” His dramatic response was cut off by her pressing his cheeks together, but that didn’t stop him from continuing to talk - particularly because he knew that his attempting to do so and how silly it would sound would amuse her. “I don’t even know you.” Unwinding his arms from around her was only to serve the purpose of removing her hands from his face, then one arm was slung over her shoulders behind her neck, towing her into him. He leaned down to press his mouth to hers, kissing her slowly, letting it last for several seconds. It had been months, he was permitting himself a little PDA. It was his fucking shop anyway. Humming, he barely inched back in favor of leaving one, two, three quick pecks of his lips against hers before easing back entirely, arm still over her shoulders. “Dean’s gonna fucking lose his shit, and I mean like, me too, my dude, but.”

She probably wasn’t going to stop smiling the whole time she was there, and while she knew it was going to be hard to leave after seeing him and Dean for a few days, she knew they’d done six months already, they could just as easily do it again. But for now, she was going to focus on the present. Smushing Isaiah’s cheeks together, Nadia tossed her head back in a laugh as he continued to talk, shaking her head when she righted it on her neck again. “I’ll leave, dang.” The brunette joked, knowing she had absolutely no intention of leaving. Pulling one hand from his cheek, she left the other there as he shifted to kiss her, slowly moving her lips against his as she breathed out a sigh, her other hand moving to make a fist at the shirt he wore. She couldn’t be bothered by the fact that they were so notably in public right then, this was far more important. Humming as he leaned back only to kiss her in three more pecks, Nadia smiled wide. “Good, I’m gonna lose my shit, I’ve missed him so much.” She nodded, leaning in to kiss him slowly again, inching back after another few seconds. “I’ve also missed you.” She leaned in putting her forehead against his jaw, turning herself into him a little more as her eyes fell closed for as second, but she was tilting her head to look up at him a moment later. “I can hang out while you work, I don’t wanna keep you from anything.”

Things for Isaiah had been like a whole new world in the last several months. Between moving across the country with a toddler, to opening and getting started on a new tattoo shop in Southern California, add in a best friend on television and a girlfriend back on the other side of the country, his life was a little fucking weird lately to say the least. He could give it that things were good, though, even when it felt like it was a lot all at once. Inksomnia was up and running, and while it wasn’t like business was automatically fucking booming or anything, he had himself and two other artists working and getting a decent amount of appointments. From the work he’d done at a shop back in Florida, he knew that it was sort of a domino effect in this business, a trickle effect. Once traction got on social media and such, he was sure that it would be more lively. They were still only a handful of months in and doing well, that was what mattered, and that was what helped keep him from worrying. Well, that and the constant supportive reminder from people like his girlfriend. He wasn’t like, counting days or whatever - but yeah, he fucking was - but he couldn’t wait for Nadia to actually be there having the conversations they did. Facetime just didn’t do it all justice.

Another day at the shop meant another day of figuring out a damn system for Isaiah. He, Nate, and Jay were doing pretty well at the whole taking calls and setting up appointments thing but it was all kind of discombobulated still. Their socials were set up, but they weren’t too great at keeping them updated just yet, weren’t making the kind of advertisement posts needed yet. These were things that he knew would be something to take on when he, y'know, opened his own business and whatever, but it still felt kind of weird for him. Isaiah hadn’t ever really been this type of person. Which was probably why it was so easy for him to get agitated and therefore distracted. He was in the middle of a random sketch of an octopus - not at all the schedule spreadsheet he had said he was going to be figuring out - when Jay came into the back area. Hearing that someone was there to see him, he was quick to his feet - because why wouldn’t he bolt at the opportunity to avoid responsibility? He was fully prepared to talk shop, get into talks of design and appointments, answer questions, all that. What he was not at all prepared for was coming out of the back and seeing his girlfriend over by the counter. “Shut the fuck up.” Isaiah laughed, head shaking. He was pretty sure he hadn’t run, but he was very suddenly there beside where Nadia stood, arms looping tightly around her with a dramatic groan into the side of her neck. “What the fuck is this?” He loosened his arms finally to let her breathe, but they stayed around her all the same, wide smile on his features. “What’s going on? What are you doing here?”

It was definitely weird not to be in driving distance from her boyfriend, or anyone for that matter. The timing of the internship of her dreams came at an odd time, but she wasn’t in a place to turn it down, so she moved to New York just after Isaiah moved to California. For two extremely affectionate people, she was honestly a little surprised at how well the long distance thing was going for them, but it also had to do with the fact that it was them, at least she figured as much. Still, she wasn’t going to just go to LA and not wiggle in some room to see him and Dean, it wouldn’t be right. And with months to go before she could finally move to California too, this was exactly what the doctor ordered. Waiting by the counter as Jay went to grab Isaiah from the back, she couldn’t keep the smile off her face. It widened even further as her boyfriend came into view, she barely took a step towards him before his arms were around her middle, hugging her tightly. Her own arms looped up around his neck, hugging him back the same as she let out a little squeal of excitement, happy to see him, happy to be in his arms again after months apart. Not letting her arms fall from around his neck even as he inched back from their hug, she grinned. “I was in the neighborhood.” She shrugged casually, but there was no keeping the smile off her lips. “I had to come out to LA for work, and I wasn’t just going to not see you. You've got me til Thursday night at seven.” The brunette continued, nose wrinkling up. Her hands moved from the back of his neck to the sides of his face, smushing his cheeks together. “Alright with that?”

Ever since Nadia found out she’d be taking a trip to LA for work during the summer, she’d been planning on surprising Isaiah in Long Beach. It’d been months since he’d moved to California, and months since she’d seen him in person and while everything was good for them, being in the same state as him and not seeing him was something she wasn’t going to pass up for anything. Tacking on an extra four days of personal time to the end of her week so she could have at least three solid days with him and Dean, she was practically bouncing as she checked out of her hotel on the last morning of her work week, she only had one final meeting to go to before she could get on with her plan. It was agonizing, knowing how close she was to getting to see him, but she did her best to pay attention to everything going on in the meeting, knowing she’d be back to work in just a few days; she could check out entirely from work as soon as they were done. The last minutes of the meeting felt like hours, she couldn’t help but watch the clock but still didn’t jump up from her seat as they all finished, politely mingling with her coworkers and magazine editors for a little while longer, not wanting to seem rushed heading out of an important work trip. 

Finally though, she was in an Uber headed to Long Beach. She played on her phone, answered a few texts and checked her emails, but mostly she looked at the scenery as the car took her to her boyfriend. Soon she’d be in California too, just six more months and there’d be no reason to surprise him anymore. After what felt like the longest and shortest car ride ever, Nadia was thanking her driver and stepping out of the car. She’d seen pictures of Isaiah’s shop, but it wasn’t anything she’d experienced in person, all of this was new, and the excited bubbles in her stomach where fluttering away while she walked up the steps and through the door. She waved silently at Jay on the other side of the counter who looked up at her, lifting her finger to her mouth to signal him not to say anything. Pausing where she stood, she peered around the corner then looked back at Jay, nose wrinkling up in a smile. “Is he in with someone?” The brunette whispered, then grinned as she got a silent shake of Jay’s head in return, the answer she’d hoped for. “Can you grab him for me?”

Family

Sara Frost had fling/affair with a man named Peter Evans at the ripe age of 19, Peter, who was having marital problems of his own and needed an escape, Sara quickly became that for the older man. They were never in love fully, it was more of a friendship with sex than anything, but all the same it resulted in Sara becoming pregnant. 

Once she told Peter about the pregnancy and how she wanted to keep the baby, their physical relationship fizzled out. He stayed in contact with Sara all throughout her pregnancy and even throughout Nadia’s life even though Nadia didn’t learn about him til years later. 

Being raised by a single mother, Nadia became independent very quickly. She truly was a social butterfly and a little ham as a child. She loved being around people and talking to anyone who would listen to her. This continued into her teen years and still holds true to this day. 

When Nadia turned 18, Sara finally told Nadia about her father like she told Peter she would. In telling her she gave her daughter the option of speaking to him if she wanted to. For years, Nadia didn’t think she needed to talk to him, she’d gone her whole life not knowing her father, why would it make a difference now? 

It wasn’t until a conversation with Isaiah about his family that Nadia decided to get in contact with her father. They spoke a few times over the phone before deciding to meet in person, she’d learned she had two siblings, an older sister named Iris and a younger brother named Sam. This came as a shock to her because Nadia and Iris were already friends, they had been working at the same mall for months. 

Adjusting to having a whole family wasn’t that hard for Nadia, she bonded quickly with her parents and her siblings. Iris is her best friend in the entire world now, and Sam is just an angel in world, but she’s fiercely protective of both of them, even though it’s been such a short time that she’s known them. 

Isaiah and Dean

In April of 2017, Nadia was set up on a blind date by one of her friends from work. That date resulted in meeting Isaiah. She’d been weary at first, but that date, reguardless of the fact that Isaiah had to scoot out early, had been the most memorable date she’d had. She’d been with boys before, but none of them clicked for her like Isaiah did. They were causal about their time together for a few months, only calling it official that following fall. 

Their relationship hasn’t had many struggles between them, but they’ve both had personal struggles to help each other through which just made them more set on each other. He’s everything she had always dreamed of in a man, loving, charming, funny and isn’t afraid to tell her off and be honest with her about something. He’s her soulmate and not a damn thing could convince her otherwise. 

In her relationship with Isaiah, she also made a strong bond with Isaiah’s son, Dean. When Dean’s mother up and left without a word, Nadia really took it upon herself to be a supportive female presence in his life. She loves that little boy to death, and would do absolutely anything to make him happy, she’s practically his mother though that hasn’t been officially stated by anyone yet. 

When Isaiah decided to leave for California, Nadia supported him completely, knowing it was his dream to open his own tattoo shop. But having enrolled in school for a spring semester, she had to complete her classes before she moved to California with him. There was no way she was going to let her family go to the other side of the country without her, it was just delayed a bit. 

A few days before he left though, Nadia was quite surprised to find out she was pregnant. They hadn’t been planning in the slightest, and telling Isaiah that she was having his child was one of the more nerve wracking things she’d ever done, having gotten way up in her head about it and convinced herself that he was going to be upset with her. But he wasn’t, he was more surprised than anything, and she was too, considering. 

They decided to keep the baby though, Nadia keeping him posted with every update she could, sending him pictures of her belly and ultrasound videos. Nadia decided not to find out the sex until she moved to California to be with him and Dean, wanting Isaiah to be there when they found out of they were going to be having a girl or a boy. 

Completing her classes and getting herself a flight to California, Nadia was so excited to be with her boys again, really getting a life started for the four of them now. 

Random

Nadia loves clothes and fashion, she’s wanted to open her own boutique for a while now and has a bachelors degree in business to support it. Going back to school to get a fashion design degree was just gravy for her. That’s all being put on hold for the sake of her family though, and she’s absolutely okay with that.

In her spare time she’s started designing some jewelry ideas, and thinks that’ll be the first route she goes if something falls into her lap, but she’s not going to force it. But she loves drawing up stone shapes and ring band designs and pendant ideas, she stole a sketchbook from her boyfriend before he left for California to put her ideas in, even. 

Prior to finding out she was pregnant, Nadia’s plan was to transfer her Pac Sun manager position to a store in the Lockland area, but after giving it a little bit more thought she decided getting there and working for a few months before having to go on maternity leave felt silly. So she saved up as much money as she could in the five months so she could support herself fully while carrying and having the baby before going back to work. 

She’ll put her family and friends above herself almost all the time and is very loyal, but she’ll only give out so many chances to people that hurt her. She won’t allow herself to be walked all over.  Nadia is a kindhearted girl, she loves big and laughs loud and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She’ll give anyone advice but won’t get mad if they don’t take it. She wants the people in her life to be happy and feel good about themselves, even when things aren’t going so great for them.
