I do find it funny that my brother calls others out on being a sap when he’s become a giant cheese ball.
That’s it, I said it. CHEESE. BALL. It’s a good thing that I love him.
Are you a sap as well though? Does it run in the family?

The fuck is it about?
Philosophy students with an ass of a teacher.
I don’t think I could deal with watching a movie so much - what’s it about?
It’s one of those films where you catch something new every time, you know? It’s about philosophy students on their last day of class and their teacher makes them do thought process things, it’s hard to explain. But good to watch.
What’s it about?
It doesn’t sound like much, but it’s really good in my opinion. It’s philosophy students on their last day of class, but the timeline is weird because they’re supposed to be seniors in high school, but they all seem way older. But I mean, that seems like the case with a lot of movies.
What’s it about? Sounds too complicated for me, maybe.
It was really complicated for me too, I had to pay close attention, but it was a good movie. It’s about philosophy students on their last day of class and their teacher is an asshole.
I get the feeling that’s not a Christmas movie.
No, not a Christmas movie. It’s a movie about philosophy students on their last day of class.
I watched the movie After the Dark about four times and I think I need to watch it four more times to get everything out of it. I would recommend it.
I've seen none of these movies
Recommendations? Besides “all of them”.
I’ve always been a fan of A Year Without A Santa Clause. It’s not showing, but you should check it out.
Water’s Edge|| Nadim & Rust
Walking past the hammocks, Rust smiled a small one to himself when his toes hit the sand. In his line of work he hadn’t actually had this kind of luxury when it came to working with the ocean. The rescue swimmer usually jumped from a helicopter and got beat to shit by an angry and freezing cold ocean. He felt like the ocean understood him, as strange as that would be for him to voice out loud to anyone. The way it could be calm and the way a storm could make it rage, the things it could destroy but also the life it held within it’s depths were the connections for him. It was the second thing in the world that made sense to him after losing his mother when he was a boy, the first had been music but that was something else entirely. He lit a cigarette as he stood and waited for his company to arrive, hopefully with the promised goods in his hands otherwise Rust might be tempted to toss Nadim into the water. He’d barely been out of rehab again for about two weeks and while his mood swings were starting to settle, he was having a hard time handling cravings. It almost seemed like it was worse outside and beyond rehab, mostly because he was always looking for an escape from a world he didn’t understand, a world he didn’t care to be apart of. The dominant glanced over his shoulder when he heard the voice and smile at the sight of Nadim with a bag in his hands. “It wasn’t that fuckin’ hard.” He snatched the bag from the submissive’s hands and opened it up to look inside at it’s contents, “You thinking I got butter fingers or some shit?” Smiling as he pulled the cupcake from the bag, he examined it and then gave Nadim a flat look, “This would not win a fucking cupcake war, dude.” He peeled the wrapper back and pulled the cupcake in half, offering one of them to the submissive.
Nadim was simply proud of himself for not having hid away the moment he got here. Any interaction was a win for him. Plus for the most part he stayed indoors, so getting himself to go outdoors was another win. The warm breeze was actually slightly comforting, most of his nerves leaving his body now. As much of a homebody as he was, maybe being here would help him break his habits.“It’s because you used the f-word the first time we talked. Now I’m your friend and you’re stuck with me.” After the dominant took the bag from his hand, Nadim moved to the shore line. “Hey, we never said that this was was my cupcake for the cupcake war. I can do better, I can frost better, but I’m not gonna try and convince you it’s art, I know I won’t get that far.” He took the half from the dominant, looking it over before taking a bite. “Plus, it’s good as long as it tastes good.” Nadim never had the habit of getting comfortable quickly, he was hoping this would be different. Busying himself with socializing and sketching, Nadim was doing what he could to keep his mind off his family. With any downtime in his mind, thoughts drifted to them, like now. Quickly he spoke to distract himself, “I guess the beach isn’t that bad. I haven’t died yet.”
Yeah, I guess it’s easier to stay warm outside, that’s true. Inside, though, I’m always cold. I’ve been stealing sweatshirts from my friends. And I stole Mr. Webb’s sweater from the ugly sweater party.
I like to be all warm and cozy, but not hot, y’know? So going out in a sweater would be too much.
You sound like a bit of a homebody. You’re very welcome. I’m Piper by the way.
I am most definitely a homebody. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Piper. I’m Nadim.
Well perhaps staying away from the beach would be good. Maybe exploring the trails, there is a lot of shade and cooler areas up there.
Yeah, it would be nice to see some more of the island. And being able to wear one of my sweaters would be lovely.
They have tutorials for EVERYTHING on YouTube.
That’s true, plus it would be a useful pass time. That is a very good idea thank you.
Why don’t you knit them into a quilt?
That’s actually a very good idea, I hadn’t thought of that. I could probably learn to knit from like online, right?
I would say something snarky about heat sickness, but I’ve been regretting the fact that I only own one sweatshirt because I’m cold all the time. So who knows, you might be fine.
I mean I’m cold for the most part, but not when it’s 80 degrees out. Though, when I’m inside I’m chilly. So I hope I’ll be alright.
You might as well burn them living on this island.
I feel oddly attached to them. I hope maybe if I stay inside a lot I might be able to manage.
Like forty percent of my tops are sweaters so I feel as though I need to wear them all even though it’s warm out. I might regret this decision, but we’ll see.
