Naegami Week 2024 Day 6

Since it's 1:12am, day 6/today's theme is a free day

I chose crossover cause I've been hyperfixated on Sonic the hedgehog/Sonadow content

I tried drawing these two as mobian so meet Byakuya the borzoi(I looked up show dogs for this) & Makoto the fluffy scottish fold. I'm starting to realize I should have drawn Byakuya's werewolf form for day 4 as a borzoi.

Naegami Week 2024 Day 4

Day 4 was fantasy/royalty

The idea for this is Byakuya is a werewolf noble traveling with his vampire partner.(Yeah Makoto has a Red Riding Hood theme) I dunno what I was attempting for Byakuya's wolf form I think at some point I was trying a more werewolf on all fours look but it ended up a wolf with thick front legs. No idea where they're going but Makoto is just riding with his husband at night.

Naegami Week 2024 Day 2

Day 2 was talent swap/breathe

This is kind of a sequel to a past pic(LINK) which is a talent swap were Byakuya is a guy with good luck that tries his best to not rely on it while Makoto is a timid heir that wants to make friends while being far away from his terrible dad.

Byakuya decided to introduce Makoto to fast food. While Makoto has eaten high quality meals thanks to his rich life he can understand the appeal of fast food. Makoto is also just happy to eat/hang out with Byakuya as the blond has helped him move past the loneliness cause by Makoto's dad. Byakuya finds it adorable that Makoto is eager to do normal people stuff & is happy with the new experiences he's gotten.

Naegami Week 2024 Day 1

I found out that there's a Naegami Week going on(nice to see a new one after the week/month in December stopped happening) & drew some sketches for it. I missed a few days so I made some pics to make up for the days.

Day 1 was non-despair/regrets

This pic is meant for regrets, it was a little tricky to think of what to put cause I imagine there's a few times they've had regrets. In the end I decided to draw a moment from a fic I still need to work on meant to be my own form of epilogue for Danganronpa 3(the anime) which kind of has a lot going on before being an epilogue for the survivors.

Anyway this is meant to be towards the end of the fic when Makoto finally chooses to move in with Byakuya as they've been living in separate places before. Byakuya regrets allowing Makoto to move into this apartment as the bathroom's design repeatedly causes Makoto to have PTSD related flashbacks/hallucinations from the killing game in the school. It wasn't Byakuya's fault as Makoto never told him what happened & the two weren't dating yet but Byakuya feels like he still could have done something as Makoto didn't fully have a say in where he lived at the time plus Byakuya has over time become protective of him.

Byakuya is currently trying to comfort Makoto & make sure he doesn't see the bathroom again. The only good thing is that Makoto will be in moving in with him & will have support/won't be alone anymore.

Part 2

This is also for day 1 but this time non-despair. I honestly wasn't thinking when I was checking the list while drawing.

Pretty much Byakuya & Makoto at Hope's Peak, Byakuya can't help but think about how while Makoto may seem like a normal person he's special to Byakuya. I think this also comes from my headcanon that their time in HP was pre-relationship with Makoto just hanging out with Byakuya trying to be friendly & over time Byakuya warmed up to him.

Extra thoughts cus I like typing :))))

Kiss - Wanted to not have it on the lips, both to save my skin cus I don't trust myself with drawing that. Also I will forever have my personal headcanon Byakuya hating that kind of kissing cus saliva is grody to him. I am totally not projecting here to some extent. Also, I feel he totally complained after Makoto pulled this stunt cus of course he did. Makoto's used to him being a bit of a whiny bastard though so he didn't take it to heart. Also, cus it caused me so much redraw pain, just Byakuya's eyes. I dunno why they were so tricky for me to get and I'm still mixed on how I drew them in the final but still! So many redraws on the eyes. Specifically the one closer to Makoto cus it just looked off and I wanted to avoid it hitting a tangent line wear Makoto's hair meets Byakuya's face. Ah, tangent lines. How you make me die just a little inside.

Flowers - The sketch makes me so happy. I would have left it as just the sketch but I rendered it which took way longer than the other drawing because my set up isn't the best and flower crown. So many flowers ;-; Damn was it worth it though. The color choice and sketchiness is giving subtle Omori vibes too which makes sense since I AM still playing the game. It was bound to bleed in somewhere. Also, I had to show it plus a little doodle I made since they're in each other's arms and could totally use it against the other. Makoto is literally holding the heir's face. Byakuya has his hands around Makoto's waist. It is but an inevitable. It kind a just looks like a goofier version of the first sketch though since subtle details like that are hard. Though, at the same time, Byakuya looks like Makoto told him the funniest joke in the world so I count that as a win even if it's not what I was going for. The guy looks like he's laughing like an Animal Crossing villager. Meanwhile, Makoto's giving out the most precious giggle ever and mmmm my heart. Why do I do this to myself?! One last detail I wanna note is that yup. The everlasting bracelets are back! This time, Makoto is clearly wearing his. Gosh. Even though those bracelets are probably SO hard to match outfits with since they're red and gold colored, it's so cute drawing them with them on. It warms my heart so freaking much. These dorks! Edit: I totally didn't edit some parts cus I wanted to gush more about my art. Like, I promise I'm not self absorbed even though saying that just makes it look worse ( ;﹏; )

References and the sketch for the second one by the way! Tweaked the sketch by the way before I colorized the drawing. Had to make their proportions a bit better hehe!

Also, Makoto was even freakier. No pupils for him.

Also, the designs for the Fantasy prompt were inspired by the classes in Miitopia, the Elf and Knight respectively. Also, I thought it would be cute to make their outfits be complete opposites, Byakuya's being the highest ranking armor for the Elf and Makoto having the weakest armor for the Knight. I also kinda didn't wanna put two gold outfits together, rubbing each other.

Talent Swap

This one's pretty simple. Kinda wish I added more to Byakuya's design as he's literally a tie and some short sleaves away from having Hajime's outfit. But, his hair is in a ponytail so it's fine. Makoto on the other hand, yeah. It's obvious a put more effort into him. He looks like such a dapper boy! Also, Byakuya's still a dick here and Makoto's still a sweetheart. Dunno how all of this au works in it's entirety. Like, maybe Byakuya's still a Togami but he's just in a different field or maybe he got kicked out via losing the competition. Also, no clue how Makoto got his dough. But, they're cute and the more I look at Makoto, the more it looks like he's trying to flirt with Byakuya and the blonde is just not having it! Or who knows. Maybe that clover in Makoto's hair is Byakuya's and he want's it back from the small, wealthy one.

Breath

I had multiple ideas on where to go with this one. Some were more angsty though some were a bit simple or goofy. Like, one was them after a work out. Would be another sweaty Makoto for the books. Though, I didn't wanna draw another sweaty Makoto at the same time since I drew one yesterday. He shall return though! Another idea I had was Makoto using his breath to draw on a cold window. I already drew a more complicated background yesterday as well so I didn't do that one. Also, I kinda forgot I had this idea and got too inspired by their breath's converging and making a cute heart. So, this one became reality! Also, for this one specifically, dunno if this is a sunset or a sunrise. Dunno the season either. This is all just vibes. Another thing to note is one, small detail I wanna mention. The bracelet Byakuya has on is the Everlasting bracelet.

This little guy! It's description is this: "A handcrafted item made with needle and thread. They say that once you put it on, it will never come off again." Thought it was cute and Byakuya likes it. At least I am PRETTY sure he does. Even not, it's cute so the heir has that Lowkey-Friendship-Bracelet swagger now. I feel it adds a nice touch though! By the way, Makoto totally has his on too. It's just buried under his mitten and hoodie. Also, yeah. That is a mitten. Would have drawn his actual hand instead but I committed to the mitten too far in.

Still unsure on how to structure this since I'm doing both prompts. Also, this one I tried adding some comentary for fun. I also like blabber a ton about stuff so there's that too. I dunno though. Might play around with this with the other prompts. As time progresses and I do more of these weeks of doing prompt stuff, I'll see what I liek most. Buuuut yeah! Really happy how these turned out! Is a little strange taking a day just to do two drawings, but I'm glad I'm letting myself, just for this week, take time to just render my favorite gays. Been a while since I've done something like this so it's nice. Ah. Tomorrow's going to be fun breaking their spirits >:]
